« L’année du rat » – Panthers Stanley Cup Run ’96 – Reportage TSN 2016 (HD)

Suivez mes mises à jour vidéo YouTube sur Twitter. http://twitter.com/HockeyWebCast Il y a 20 ans, au cours de leur troisième année d’existence, les Panthers se sont lancés dans une course improbable vers la finale de la Coupe Stanley et, comme le rappelle Michael Farber, ont lancé des répliques de rongeurs sur la glace, brièvement, et bizarrement, parler de hockey.

  1. Miami Arena really was a perfect little rink. It was like the Boston Garden of South. Just how close people were to the ice, even in the upper tier.
Moving out of downtown Miami was a disastrous mistake.

  2. Dan Marino a Pittsburgh native was there doing the pre game hype up

I remember hating em for that "that's why you never won a ring". 😂

  3. i loved that arena Florida played in the pink elephant i think it was called for some reason ?? i remeber watching the 1991 royal rumble was held there.. the opening match
the Rockers Vs the Orient express was one of the best matches i have ever watched!!!

  4. This Panthers team is crazy similar to this year's Montreal Canadiens. Defensive team with no star player except a goalie, relying on eachother for goals. Both had almost the same fate going against a stacked team in the finals with no one expecting them to make it that far. Plus look at Lindsay's goal at 4:13. Exactly the same as Byron's there's even the same stick swing that made him trip before scoring. What a strange coincidence. Wanna know something even more strange? This year was the year of the rat 🐀!!!!

  5. As a Panthers fan it's kinda gratifying to know that we got under Patrick Roy's skin. I used to love to hate that guy.

  6. Good tribute to the year of the rat. Panthers ran out of gas when they faced the Avs. Will always remember, when living/going to games, in south florida, in May "the year of the rat", was crazy fan-da-manium!

  7. Life long Red Wings fan here, and Patrick Roy was the arch-nemesis in those days, but I have to respect the fact that he stood up in goal and took those shots from the rat throwers like a man, even with everyone throwing shit at him. He didn't cower in the net. He stood strong and eventually stymied the rat throwing phenomenon. Not a fan of him personally but like him or not, the dude was a beast.

  8. Makes me
Wonder where all the rubber rats came from I’m sure after a while they started selling them in the rink but initially people must have been searching all over for rats

  9. Patrick Roy allowed one goal (in the 2nd period of game 3) to the Panthers in Florida, withstood the rats thrown on the ice and then did NOT allow another goal to the Panthers the ENTIRE remaining of the series, which is the remaining 2nd and 3rd periods of Game 3 and the 6 periods played of game 4.
