    I really don’t want to hear the phrase 200ft player again. They ended up with an offense full of mostly forgettable plugs who are 200ft players….

    Todd said what i have been saying for years about why we play better at the end of the game.

    I find these late game pushes more sad than « So there is hope after all » that a lot of others in here seem to think.

    The lack of consistency that i see reporters ask about all the time is pretty simple too, we play our A game against Buffalos B game and we win, or rather we get two quick powerplay goals and kinda jump on them combined with Lyon not having his best night.

    You can listen to Ruff talk in his post game and its not exactly like he think they played a great game and we were just « The better team » or anything.

    We are probably a worse team than most people think but at the end of the day it doesnt really matter cos we seem to find wins anyway and the points all look the same so who cares, but just my two cents on it.

    This team is not as close to being a contender as some would think. Gibson playing above is expectation inflated our point total and tbh since he’s come back down to earth it’s exposed are weaknesses. This team sucks 5v5 and cannot move the puck like a top tier team. We dump and chase the whole fucking game.

    At this point I’m glad I had a happy childhood and teens (96-2009) following this team when it means the most. Just hope my near one year old will get some happy times later when they start being able to watch and follow.

    I can see them getting in. And winning a couple games in first round. The team has given us some flashes. Where they held tough with the best teams. I can see this coming together at some point.

    We still have a bunch of prospects coming up next year. Everyone is still so young. No big free agents this off-season. But maybe we could get Quinn or McDavid after next year. Jason Robertson might want to come here too. Rob Thomas would be too expensive and he has injury concerns. Ready to see Cossa!
