Aquilini is a kid who never grew up. He was raised in a wealthy family and has never struggled a day in his life and now, for the first time, his toy (the one his father handed him) is the one thing he can’t control.
This is the effect of someone who has never faced adversity. Even if the article had inaccuracies or misleading information, that doesn’t justify revoking a journalist’s press credentials. You handle that behind the scenes. Instead, he made it front and centre, and now the entire league is watching a franchise that is laughably mismanaged. Aquilini doesn’t deserve this team. He doesn’t deserve a first overall pick. Not with these owners running the show.

Not trying to sound dramatic but speaking out against a powerful figure and getting punished for it is basically fascism.
Rogers arena is an Aquilini jewel and I believe he would turn the whole place into nothing but restaurants if he could. The amount of clubs and boxes is staggering. There’s rooms not even looking at the ice (Captains Lounge) that cost above a season ticket to attend.
He built and owns high rise towers connected to the building. He owns a contracting company that does all the work on the building.
He also has gutted all employee parking and general storage to house his fleet of supercars in the lower parking area.
Remember how the building nickname was The Garage when it was GM Place? It literally still is for this guy.
Props to the journalists in this city not taking this lying down and having solidarity with each other.
