please let Östlund be OK

Looks like they’re playing with Kesselring drawing into tomorrow’s game instead of Timmins?
Greenway back would be huge just for his presence on the pk. Plus I am just loving that 4th line
Finally Kesselring gets back in
I kinda liked Benson and Krebs together.
Give us Metsa you fuckin bum GM. Stop flirting with ruining the chemistry of this team going into playoffs. They’re clearly getting frustrated and the literal turning point was Stanley coming into the line up and Timmons bumping Metsa. That literal extra second and step they have to take to think and process before making that breakout pass is single-handedly destroying the chemistry and allowing teams to get back and defend as to where we’d have the speed and breakout before they had a chance to think
Can’t believe the anger about Metsa.
Play him in Rochester, where they’re fighting for a playoff spot so there’s good intensity in the games (same as here). Give him good minutes in Rochester, which keeps him fully fit rather than sitting here and not being game-ready. Use this period to figure out what else we have, to determine if/how we can get the best out of other players.
None of this says that Metsa is done, out, not coming back. It says that they’re trying to figure out how to play different guys based on match-ups, strengths, options, to be as deep and effective as possible. Because the alternative is we don’t play them, we haven’t tested those pairs, and then we have to do so on-the-fly either in the final days of the season or in the playoffs, if we are so fortunate to make it.
The last thing this team needs is more Greenway and less Ostlund.
Hoping it’s short term.
Would like to see Power and Byram split to fit two righties in Kesselring and Timmins or Metsa soon. I’m sure the lefties will still get extra minutes….
As long as they can keep Malenstyn and Carrick together, I’m happy. They’re a good duo, it’d be interesting to see if Greenway can fit in with them.
The defensive pairings worry me. And Greenway back, please no.
