  1. Some absolute elite names in this shortlist, wow. Could be an all time names draft

  2. So what I’m hearing is drafting a top 6 projected center ISNT necessary this draft

  3. SpectreFire

Brock England and Brock Cripps are generational names

DuPont is obviously the big prize, he’s scored at a historic rate for defenseman and looks like he’ll be a franchise-defining all situations 1D.

That said, Joseph and Privalov look like monster power forwards who would be a good consolation prize, and it’s a pretty stacked draft for centres outside of that. No need to reach on a centre in this draft class.

    Lets load up on Brocks.

McKenna, Dupont, Willander, Buium would be a good start. We can dream

Inb4 « OMG they better choose the BPA »

If we can somehow get two elite Canadian kids this year and next, I am going to be so fucking excited for the future.

Is this draft class really that stacked? outside of the top 11 I only know Tomek and him being low is kind of a shock, probably because of size. He’s one of the most impressive young forwards to play in the czech league I’ve ever seen.

If 22 players are above him then this draft class is genuinely that insane or he’s underrated. (I am not a scout, so take this with a grain of salt)

Both Dupont and Joseph would be game changer for us

We really need to suck next year too. Another top 3 draft pick next year and at least a top 5 draft in the year after hopefully goes a long way to setting us up.

A kid named Boston and who’s last name is England

Canucks will end up getting Milan Sundstrom because all Swedes eventually finds their way here.

  13. Only TWO Swedes in this draft? Allvin is in shambles…

  14. Brock England is a firecracker, one of my favorite players to watch his WHL draft year.

I’ve been watching this draft the last couple years, my personal favorites are:

    – Alexis Joseph (noted very strong two way center)
    – Eli McKamey, (my favorite, there’s some definite flashes of skill, he’s got some serious speed and he’s strong two-way)
    – Jaxon Jacobson (fun name, just seriously good well-rounded player right now, he can score, he can make plays, he’s good with his stick)
    – Rocco Pelosi (I don’t think he was great at the world juniors, but I think he’s a solid sniper who’s floor is a 3rd line guy)

Obviously DuPont is incredible, he has potential to be a future top 5, even top 3 defenseman in the active league at his peak. But I’ve also been a Canucks fan long enough to know the chances of me winning the 50/50 lotto is higher than the chances of the Canucks winning 1OA in back to back years. Plus, we have solid young defenseman who WILL be good.

I also have more players I’ve been watching who are currently projected to go in later rounds/drafts, but they’re not as significant as of rn imo.

How do any of these centers stack up against Malholtra for comparison?

  17. Darkwingduck48

    Whole Lotta ‘C’s there

Would be nice to get another 1st rounder

  18. Canucks will pick 3rd there too after losing the season.

  19. Benning2064

The Vancouver Canucks would be extremely happy to have 1 of Dupont, Joseph or Privalov

Duponts the dream but hard to ignore Joseph & Privalov
