Oilers goal horn sounds like a wasp nest
In their last five games, the Hawks have allowed an average of 36.4 shots on goal. That is not a recipe for success.

At least we lasted a little longer this year before getting eliminated. So there’s that.

I think being awful would be more palatable if they had a playstyle that wasn’t so awful. Why is it nothing but dumping the puck and turning it over when they pull the goalie?

I’m excited to see a lot more Frondell one-timers. I’m excited to see a lot less of this year’s sloppy and lackluster play. Only two more weeks.
Frondell got absolutely murdered at faceoffs tonight, McDavid wa literally toying with him two straight draws not even bearing down and winning them clean until Bertuzzi finally took over.

This has to be the last tank year. If we’re in this spot again next year, we have a huge problem. That said, I really don’t think the team looked that terrible tonight, other than the 40+ SOG against per usual.
On the bright side, I think Korch looked genuinely good tonight. Blash finally putting Turbo next to Bedard helped the top line a lot as well.

Well, the Hawks are officially eliminated from the playoffs and looking to finish as the 2nd worst team in the league. Remember how people in this sub were angry that sports media were saying the Sharks’ rebuild was ahead of the Hawks’ at the start of the year? 😂
Also Spencer Knight has to be leading the league in equipment issues.
Also congrats to Kaner, shame he couldn’t of done that in a Hawks sweater.

Burky finally got sent to 4th line Jail.
Knight looked phenomenal.
And we played the second best team in the Pacific.
I think we did alright the progress is showing.
That being said, I’d love to see this three centers experiment stop.
Put Greene in 3C where he belongs.
Put Frondell or Nazar with Bedard and roll the scoring you have instead of trying to make everyone play defensive hard nose “winning” hockey.

I don’t know how many more time I can watch Bedard set someone up, wide open with tons of space, and watch them miss the fucking net. Oh well fuck it, see you next game.
