Wow the hatred to him is way over blown. He was just being honest that many of them are new players. He is extremely close with Hronek, Boeser and the prevous core. He is going to Hronek's wedding this summer. You should direct the hatred to the owner and GM who dismantled this team and made some shockingly bad trades. Should just have been patient when they had a young core and do a proper rebuild. Why should he loyal when he has single-handedly carried the team in many nights,, the team did not extend him to a maximum long-term contract when they had the opportunity because they signed all these useless veterans. They picked to sign Pettersson longer. He was the most value contract based on contribution in the whole league while he was with the Canucks and never complained. Had to trade either Hovart or Miller because they were over the cap with useless long term contracts and Ekman-Larsson deadspace.He did ask for the captaincy, and should have just kept Hovart. Would you stay and be loyal if the company you worked suck and you had better opportunities? I donot blame him for leaving this mess, the 32nd place that is 16 points away from the next worst team.
