@Hurricanes de la Caroline

I’m a Habs fan and I live in North Carolina 15 min from the Lenovo Center. I’ve been lucky enough to watch so many games as the away fan. This game was wild, felt like the Hurricanes would break through but Dobey’s performance was beautiful to watch. This one was impressive because we were ass to start but we capitalized when we needed it most. Quality > quantity baby, Go Habs Go

  2. Your bang on they are a lot of fun to watch. Nightmare you say, Xhekaj is a beast I get scared just watching him on TV, I was suprised MSL found a spot for him all 3 shifts, it must have been scarey as hell him barreling down on you.

  3. I got the same feeling watching Price. The defense is so bad, I was just waiting for the opposition to score a goal, or run into Price

  4. Doby Cooper: wanted for theft in Carolina. Love it! (On Marinaro, they said the last five game streak was in 2017)

  5. i dont know i dont really watch it… i dont have tv lol… i do but not tv…you know what i mean im pretty sure i can find some way to watch it on pc …but i won't do that…i'm happy they doing work and it pay off

  6. My TOTs are… The Habs biggest problem is moving the puck outta D zone and then transitioning through the neutral zone to the O zone. The symptom is getting ridiculously outshot. The band aid is lots of blocked shots and lots of saves, combined with an amazing shot percentage on offense. Thank goodness for Doby and Fowler. It is probably not sustainable and they need to fix this moving the puck problem…hopefully before the playoffs, or at least before next season….PS the lagacy of Flanders continues & love to see Arby on the wing!!! WOOOOH! 😀

  7. I feel like the D has been really cleaning up their rebound control these last few games. Doby's getting the saves AND now he's getting proper support + clears.

  8. Positioning and focus. With his size, if he's on top of those 2, he's hard to beat. Just needs to tidy-up rebound control a touch.

  9. I'm old enough to remember the Guy Lafleur days and this Habs team is by far the most exciting and fun to watch since the late 70s so I'm sure you haven't seen a better Habs team if you're under 55…

  10. @HockeyJunkie I am going to be at the Tampa bay game tomorrow! If anything good happens and I get the video, I’ll send you clips!

  11. I’ve played D my whole life. For the first time ever there’s too many D on my team and they threw me up front. They don’t want me off the first line since cause i give them space and second chance through forecheck.

  12. And no one hit Dobie. I wonder what changed to turn the Canes "shy" like that… 😉 There's a guy who couldn't join in on the "fun" in front of the opposing net before, because of the position he played. Now he's playing in a position where he can join in on the "fun" anywhere, anytime, against anyone. Good move!

  13. God i'm so happy we are done with the Monty BS. The constant jerking Doby around absolutely tanked his confidence, and playing Monty so much has 100% prevented us from being 1st in the division.

  14. Dobes is "it" from what we have seen so far, meaning he might be more than a backup goalie when all is said and done. Top 6 rookie so far I think. Looks like he has a nice relation with Fowler too, they both cheer for each other, which is cute.

  15. Hype the numbers. At 46 goals, Goal Caufield is one goal away from the highest totals of Yvan Cournoyer and Jean Beliveau. He's already mong greats like Lafleur, Richard and Schutt.

Hutson being just the third Hab, and first defenceman, to have back to back sixty assist seasons is wild.

    Question:
We all assume this is just the beginning, but some of these players will be asking for more money and we need to be honest about the team. I don't want to part with any of them, but is someone like Kapanen worth more as trade capital to a team retooling? What does the team need to really get us there?

  16. I honestly think that Jakub Dobes and Jacob Fowler are now the top two goaltenders for the habs and Samuel Montembeault will be either moved on in the summer or sent down to Laval. Which is a shame but he seems to be having a confidence problem

  17. You sound as old as me, the last time I was so into the Ch, was in 1993, that's how I am feeling like now. The future looks bright
