Cela s’inscrit également dans une rumeur de longue date autour de l’équipe sur la raison pour laquelle Minten et Grebenkin ont été si volontiers déplacés, tout comme Treliving pour quitter Knies et Cowan (cowan a été repêché avec Treliving GM mais il n’a pas été autorisé à avoir son mot à dire sur la sélection, selon les termes avec Calgary), mais n’avait pas l’intention de déplacer Danford à aucun moment.
Cela ajoute même du crédit au fait que Treliving a laissé Holmberg marcher sans qualification bien qu’il soit un RFA pour aller à Tampa pour 1,55×2, en donnant la priorité à ses signatures telles que Lorentz à 1,65×3 et en acquérant Joshua à 3,25×4 ; il a fait la même chose avec Steeves qui était un UFA du groupe 6 (aurait été RFA s’il avait joué plus de matchs dans la LNH, puis signé à Boston, et est maintenant un gars de 3e ligne et de PK pour eux, signant la même prolongation que l’accord initial que Tampa donne à Holmberg avec 1,55×2 après sa solide saison).

This isn’t that uncommon though. A lot of teams see this when a new GM comes in, unless it’s a high first rounder the other prospects aren’t given priority compared to the new guy’s choices
