    Today’s a tough game, let’s throw some positive vibes out there if we win this one we still have hope.. I understand everyone’s frustration.

    Anyone going to the game today please bring your energy, let’s see if we can bring that positive energy into the stadium into the team.

    Wow, seats as low as $24 on stubhub today. Because it’s a holiday? Because of recent performance? I have family stuff so I can’t be there but hope they have a great game for anyone that is attending!

    It sounds like there will be PWHL expansion news in a few weeks and that it may be more likely they do one big round of 4 teams vs two rounds of 2 teams and then hold at 12 for some time. If there’s no Detroit team soon, it will be a little while. Logistics aren’t our friend here, but I hope we get chosen and they figure it out. Some Saturday double headers could go a long way towards making the available dates at LCA issue minimized.

    Looking at things long term, assuming none of these guys get traded

    Kasper, Finnie, Danielson

    One of these guys has to turn into at least a 2C. At least 2 need to be no worse than 3C

    Bear, MBN, Plante

    One of these need to be a first line winger.

    Of the 6 above mentioned, at least 3 need to be top 6 forwards, and 5 of 6 need to be top 9 forwards

    This will essentially determine if Yzerman was a success or not

    It’s not looking great as of today (not getting warm fuzzys for Danielson and Kasper), but these guys are all quite young so a lot can still happen

    We have pissed away so many chances to control our fate when it comes to making the playoffs with some sort of confidence and swagger. All of these important “must-win” games that should have been in our favor that we seemingly just cannot buckle down and get a W is most certainly gonna come back to haunt us as it always does.

    But the fact of the matter is everything is still within reach. Do I think we deserve to make it in? No, not really. But there’s still a chance. The icing on the cake is the fact that losing to NY and then turning around and beating MIN is such a red wings story line the way they love to squander away favorable matchups and then somehow win the tougher matchup. So I’m riding on hopium until it’s mathematically impossible.

    Ottawa and co are just holding the door open for the Wings. Setting the table, taking drink orders in advance, even trying to check their coats for them, trying to usher them in….. and the Wings are waiting outside in a line that just doesn’t exist. Just walk into the door man. Take a step

    So hear me out: they’ve traded results with COL and DAL so far. 1 reg loss vs COL then a reg win. 1 OT win vs DAL then an OT loss. First result vs MIN was an OT loss so by that logic, we’re due for an OT win.

    I feel good about today. For whatever reason this team shows up against better competition. The frustrating thing about this stretch is multiple instances of beating very good teams but then absolutely disappearing against a team like the Rags.

    Revisiting World at War and damn. What happened to this series? I feel like they let themselves fall victim to the Fortnite thing and just put any stupid shit in the games kids ask for. Call of Duty used to be ugly and brutal.

    Seems like Chicago was interested in Knies and the asking price was:

    1. ⁠Two 1sts + a top prospect

    2. ⁠One 1st + two top prospects

    3. ⁠Three top prospects.

    Priority is still a C but if that doesn’t work out I wouldn’t mind getting Knies for 2027 1st, Bear & Danielson.

    Would prefer a C like Thomas though.
