Most people still love him.  I don’t blame a guy for being injured all the time. It is what it is.

don’t know about y’all but i still love demko, but ya i miss seeing him make ridiculous saves on a nightly basis

We still love him?? He is just injury prone which should’ve impact how much you like him? Not his fault.

  4. HairyKerey

As others have said, still love the guy. Can’t blame him for the Canucks curse.

Also, shoutout to Shorty. Fuck he is the absolute best in the league, the emotion and intensity in his calls are second to none.

Nobody here doesn’t love Demko, we just wish he was healthy.

I was at the game, that’s prob my fav demko moment in his career

  7. istoleyourbrain

this is my favourite call by Shorty in the last 10 years as well

We still love him he’s a top goalie just injury prone 💔

  9. We love Demko. We just wish he was healthy and that our management team didn’t give him an albatross of a contract.

  10. No one stopped loving Demko the fan base is just realistic that he will never play a full season again in his career. He is an elite goalie when playing but you cannot build a team around a goalie who is going to give you 20 games. It is actually a good thing were tanking/rebuilding because that contract would of been an anchor next year forward if we were contending.

Everyone still loves Demko, he’s still top 2-3 goalie when healthy. Heck I would donate my knees if it were possible.

Demko is the man watched him at the home opener this season when they beat Calgary to bad he’s pledged with injury sure does suck

If Demko didn’t go down we would’ve won the cup

I remember being excited about Loui Eriksson signing. To be fair it was probably more excitement that we dodged Lucic

I love and miss Demko but the poor guys hips are gone, he’s hardly played in years now. It’s time to let him retire with a modicum of respect still to his name

Or the good old days the west coast express. Then later the Sedins with blind passes constantly on the tape.

There was another time Silovs lost his glove or blocker, and something similar like this happened, he still made the saves haha

The fiercest competitor I’ve ever seen the Canucks have between the pipes.

I grew up watching Luongo (first full season I watched was 08-09′ as a 7 year old so forgive me) and even though he was obviously Elite and a HOFer, Demko has had higher peaks in terms of individual performances and has come through in situations that would cripple most other goalies, mentally.

The bubble playoffs after having a .905 sv% in his regular season as a rookie, the entire 2023-24 season (even in his one playoff game he was pretty good).

Reminder that he did all of this after already having double hip surgery in college. I hope the surgery he got allows him to stay healthy while remaining elite, but I’m scared that he’s gonna be Cory Schneider 2.0

The contract was ill advised but I don’t put that on him. He’s a captain level leader in the locker room by all accounts, even if he’s (apparently) prickly with fans and media at times.

With that being said, I hope he doesn’t ruin our tank for DuPont/Privalov/Joseph/Sundstrom next season 😅
