Je suis désolé mais les chiffres le confirment. Ce sont les chiffres des séries éliminatoires de Jake Oettinger contre les Oilers d’Edmonton. Il n’aurait probablement pas dû le dire publiquement, mais il savait qu’il allait se faire virer, et il avait raison.

It’s not that he did it. It’s how he did it. Called a timeout, let his #1 head back out to the net, and then publicly humiliated him by dragging him out of the game.
It was a shit move Otter never deserved, classless, and showed DeBoer to be a vindictive rat bastard that will crucify anyone in his doghouse to make himself look like he’s the king shit.
I hate this hire more than words can express. I do not want this cancer anywhere near the dressing room, but that’s not my call.
Whether he’s right or not isn’t the point. It’s that he did it and that between Schneider, Lehner, and Oettinger, he has a history of messing with his goalies.

Does past history determine future actions? Of course not. He’s a good coach, just with a shelf life (which all coaches have unless you’re Cooper or Brind’Amour). Has a better track record than Roy. I would’ve preferred Cassidy, but PDB is probably the best coach on the market after him.
I mean do you really think Darche didn’t consider this while making the decision? Deboer is a good coach, every good/bad coach has a bad moment or 2. Isles could hire Jesus Christ and the fans would piss themselves complaining.
I liked Roy, but Deboer is such a blatant upgrade. Darche is being proactive and we fans have been asking for proactivity.
There’s always gonna be complainers. For those who can sit tight and see the big picture, don’t waste your time reasoning with the panic attack fans
Edit: my favorite is that fans here think they’re thinking of factors that hired professionals with a full team of assistants aren’t already addressing.

Wins and losses aren’t a pitcher’s stat. And a 3.01 ERA is good. Oettinger is not in the wrong.
The numbers do back it up. The assesment was correct. However, you can not publicly say that. Dad’s new « friend » might be 3 years older than me, and a gold digging floozy, but I still can say it without consequences.
Idk how I feel about this… yea, this skid was painful and I guess this is a lever to pull. But I liked Roy a lot; he almost always seemed to have the correct take / vocalized a perspective that I almost unanimously found myself agreeing with… does that mean he’s the most optimal coach? Maybe not. But idk… I don’t know if canning him was warranted. Time will tell; but do you guys think we ‘upgraded’?

I like deboer he’s such a huge upgrade over Roy. But he has a shelf life and that’s ok we’ll deal with that shelf life when it’s up. People seem to have forget Roy called out sorokin knowing that he was playing on one leg which we didn’t know. Roy is a terrible coach and has been out coached multiple times this year.
