Four of remaining five games are teams with something to prove as well.
I’m going to be really mad when the leafs fall to 6th pick and Florida gets 1st. I still think tanking for a top 5 pick is the right move this season, but I also know the worst case scenario will happen
If retool is the plan than they need a top 5 pick this year. Pelley is a moron however and we haven’t shut down any of our players like the Panthers have done.

I was looking at some of the other team’s schedules. The Kraken and Rangers both have really tough games coming up. In order to slide into fifth, we probably have to lose all our remaining games.

Florida, a smart team, is resting their best players and tanking on purpose. I wish we were that smart.
