Seriously man? Yeah, Kane taking that penalty was horrid, but blaming him for my Wings falling apart (AGIAN!) isn't indicative of the real problem. The Yzerplan isn't working, for YEARS they don't have the offense, and every year they just crumble under pressure. Oh yeah, then there was Larkin blaming Yzerman last year for not giving away our draft picks so we could slot in an 8th seed an get bounced out in the first round. It's not just one thing or one guy with the Red Wings, it's become a toxic culture of choking and blaming.

No playoffs again. Also, Kane doesn’t backcheck which is fine when you play for the dynasty Chicago Blackhawks, but we need every top 6 forward to give 100% effort. We’re not good enough to score at will.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what I thought might happen back in January. It was clear they needed to find another gear and kick it into desperation stretch mode. They didn't and now I think it's very unlikely they make the playoffs. It sucks to admit, but the reality seems to be they just don't have the mental fortitude necessary to be a playoff team. There needs to be some hard looks from management and make some hard that should mean no one on the team is safe from being moved.

I think this game and specificly the kane penalty is a perfect encapsulation of how the wings season has gone after the trade deadline. Totally and absolutely self inflicted
Honestly, to be expected. We’ve never been good after midseason breaks, our defense hasn’t been more than 2 men deep since the early 2000’s, and we did absolutely nothing at the trade deadline when we should have been dropping big bucks on a 2 way D guy.
Well, Quinn did make a stupendous dive there. Plus, the Wings have only won 8 of their last 24 games. So, they are already playing like they are terrified of the playoffs.
Remember when Wings fans thought Kane was gonna be the one who would finally help them get good again and exact their revenge on their divisional rivals? 😂😂😂
