I never heard Jordan complained like this. He's a true professional and successful businessman. No wonder he's much better than LeDone.
8:17 memphis
The Reason Why LeBron Said This Because Memphis Is Not Safe, Memphis Is One Of The Most Dangerous Cities In America That’s Why He Said That.
Memphis might get a fresh new team if the Grizzlies move back to Vancouver.
If Memphis is good enough for Elvis, it's good enough for the NBA.
Move all NBA teams to Los Angeles and New York. Problem solved.
Hope LeBron doesn't retire and plays one more season, would love to watch Bron get booed the next time he plays the Grizz
Vancouver to Memphis….what a downgrade
Their Football Team has more opposing fans showing up than the Home Fans. Most people in Nashville are from somewhere else. Memphis having an NBA team is a joke. They have the worst weakest fan base in Sports! Tennessee is not a Pro Sports State! Nashville is probably the most overrated city in America!
I'm a Jazz fan and I'm used to the same thing of people bagging on Utah especially from LeBron. Also, what's wrong with a 41 year old staying at a Hyatt??
The Grizzlies should stay where they are. Moving the Grizzlies to Nashville is going to be too much for them to handle. Like how completely outdated their interstate system is, Titans sucking up taxpayer money for their new stadium to "boost their economy" while their team is bad, its going to create more girth to city in a bad way (Vegas for example). Be careful what you wish for
Nashville is an over-hyped city. It's just in the now, but that won't last long. It's funny how people call it a great sports town when the Titans is the least-popular team in the NFL, and the stadium stays empty for home games. Vanderbilt football games are even dominated by away teams. Putting the MLB and/or NBA in Nashville would be a waste of time.
I wonder if the NBA will relocate the Grizzlies to Nashville. First Draymond mentioned this, now LeBron. If other NBA players complain about the hotels in Memphis, I wonder if Adam Silver and the NBA will agree to just move the Grizzlies to Nashville. The NBA probably has the power to force a team to move…. The Grizzlies in Nashville sounds like it would make sense though. The Titans are about to move into a new stadium there, the Grizzlies would already have an arena to play in in Nashville and can share the arena that the Nashville Predators NHL team uses. As far as the Grizzlies team goes, Ja would have a bigger profile there. Maybe the Grizzlies could attract more free agents playing in Nashville?
With that being said, if the NBA ever does move the Grizzlies out of Memphis, they may have to be delicate with it, especially considering the Black history associated with Memphis and how Memphis is kind of a poorer city. The NBA may have to be careful with this if they ever consider doing this.
LBJ Nobody over 15 years of age care what you say.
More athletes should call out trash cities… puts a ton of pressure on them to actually improve.
The bigger issue is that his comments delve further into the racial overtones of why Memphis and other prominent cities of the civil rights movement have all seen the same type of economic deprivation. To say something like that, while using the Lorraine Motel colorway to sell shoes is just impressively irresponsible.
6:45 Imagine the horror in staying in a hotel built in the 1980s. That's for the little people.
It's more probable Alice Silver will relocate the Grizzlies tomorrow COZ LECHINA XI JAMES PING SAID SO. Alice Silver is LeChina's puppet.
This was a bit sloppy, Brodie.
You mentioned the Nashville mayor wanting to show LeBron around Memphis, and you mentioned how the Grizzlies could make $200m profit if they moved to Memphis.
We know what you meant, but it was slightly embarrassing to listen to the mistakes.
Lefraud has no room to talk shit when he's done jack shit by himself
Weird how no one trashes Green Bay in the NFL. Less than a million metro and by far the fewest hotel rooms in the league. They must get a pass as they are a historic team.
I can’t believe the Grizzlies ALMOST came to my city before Memphis got them
Keep LeBron completely out of Tennessee please. We are doing perfectly fine without him and his woke entourage of "Yes King. Yes King. Yes King" f'bois.
The way Tennessee is geographically, anyone not from West Tennessee barely even knows the Grizzlies exist. But honestly, who actually cares about the NBA? Because I can't remember the last time someone said to me "Did you see the NBA game?"
Theres a lot of propaganda about cities, however something i think is also an issue for memphis is there has been a gang war going on there since Young Dolph was killed a few years ago and like 30 people have been killed since that.. im not saying its entirely unsafe but for players like Ja who brush up into the hip hop world, and are young and very rich… i would worry about the players while theyre in the city.. Memphis is a fine area and nothing against it tho
One reason… Fedex. That's the cash cow here. The Grizzlies haven't been playing into this "tanking" routine like other franchises have been consistently. City growth is one discussion. Politics in Memphis is stupid and biased. But the basketball crowd is big here when… Of course… the teams(including University of Memphis) are good and/or exciting. Solid arena that keeps slowly face lifting when needed and got more funding to do so a few years ago. This year has been a bum year. It happens. Shows how much Lebron cares about fans in smaller markets. Let Memphis have their team as long as the owner, Robert Pera, can put decent ppl in place and avoid making war drones for Russia…
LeBron is a titanically stupid human being.
Let's be honest … We all know why Memphis is horrible
LeBron can go to hell.. hows that
Memphis Tennessee has the highest crime rate per capita in the entire country.
Using Oakland to gaslight and a deflect is very common coping mechanism used by the entire country.🤣😂🤣😂🤡🫵
The nba should be trying to have a team in Seattle & Vegas before anything else. How did the NHL beat the NBA to that. I do like that nba embraces smaller markets like sac, okc, & san antonio
DRIPA in BC would have probably been a problem if the Grizzlies stayed in Vancouver.. All of BC private property is on the hot seat
Being from Memphis, I was appalled at what "King Lebron" said about my city. But this isn't the first stupid thing Lebron has said. Years ago, he called the NCAA "corrupt." How could he make a claim to that when he never played college basketball?
First off, LeBron can bitch and complain elsewhere. He is a prima donna with loads of talent and loads of loathsome character. Second off, the Grizzlies franchise should stay in Tennessee, Nashville if Memphis doesn't remodel their arena. With Seattle and Las Vegas all but said and done… I see Vancouver, San Diego, Louisville, Virginia (Hampton Roads area), Montreal, KC and St. Louis as potential cities for additional expansion if and when that time ever comes around again in the next decade.
Wanna talk about a city that is small that has major league teams, take a look at Salt Lake City! They have a fairly small metro area and they have two major teams!
Who would've predicted that staying in Vancouver would've been a better decision than moving it to Memphis?🤣Memphis has the lowest franchise worth at 3.5 billion in all the NBA so that's why Lebron was calling it out. TO is worth 5.4 billion, so I'd think Van would be at least 4 billion, and probably more than 4.2 billion, which Portland is worth, since it's now a bigger market. Moreover, Vancouver has always had an NHL Arena that an NBA team could be using. WHOOPS!!!!! All things considered, Vancouver might get a second chance, but not till the NBA expands to at least 36 teams though
RIP Memphis 901 (USL)
I’m in the Memphis area and have in past years worked the arena broadcast for the team. I’m a huge fan of the Grizzlies so it pains me to say this, but LeBron and the other players who take about Memphis are right. The city has some really cool things about it, it absolutely has a culture and an identity that the Grit and Grind era have most recently helped shape, but the city cannot support this franchise. There is just not enough of a tax base in Memphis/Shelby County.
I’m not sure that Nashville is the right move, but Memphis certainly isn’t it.
