Yea what about when it’s the final 30 games
What was our record going into the playoffs the last three seasons when we got demolished in the first round?
What worries me is we don’t have the magical third and fourth lines like we did in those seasons
I think it remains to be seen whether this team is different from the last few years tbh.
Anything can happen against any opponent, but I do think the team could probably benefit from an easier round 1 opponent to build some confidence. Only won 4 games the last 3 years. If you draw Boston, I think we can probably out talent them even if it takes a few games to hit our A+ game. To beat Montreal or Buffalo, I think we’ll need to be sharp from puck drop Game 1. I think the approach to pack it in is a bit of a gamble by Coop tbh
While the stat does offer encouragement overall – it’s no fun losing like this.

Once the postseason starts, it’s a new season. The intensity is higher and the rules are different. There, we’ll see if they can recapture the magic of the championship years or if they just can’t hang with the up and comers.
