J’ai trouvé cela intéressant en consultant les statistiques et j’ai pensé partager. Danny a eu une mauvaise main mais je pense qu’il s’en est bien sorti.

Who?
The Cutter situation sucks, but Danny handled it well overall.
If you combine the trades it really does turn out pretty even.
Got: Zegras, Drysdale, 2nd
Gave: Cutter, Poehling, 2nd, 4th.
Assuming we keep both (would be shocking not to), we came out in a great spot from a terrible spot.
Plus, Z is a certified stud who is fun to watch while not being a complete and utter bitch.
We trade drysdale (31 points) and Jack Murtagh (11 points in 34 games with Boston University)
Gauthier is 12th in the league in goals, zegras is 78th
Cutter is 3 years younger than zegras
The front office before Danny completely fumbled a legit superstar talent… his 65 points and Zegras’ are very different
That said, fuck cutter. Come June Zegras will have his name etched on the cup and cutter will have to wake up in a world where he could have been on the ice when Coots hands to cup to TK
You also have to think that if they had cutter last season, they probably don’t finish 4th worst and probably don’t end up with Martone
It really bothers me that he’s not here. I’m having trouble getting over it lol
I wonder if Danny passes up Martone for a center if we still have Cutter due to a log jam of wingers
Could definitely see that
And there’s no way we get Zegras for that cheap if Danny didn’t already have a good relationship with their GM
The Cutter trade is looking really good
Holy let it go guys.
Cunter*
Reminder that the two trades combined are:
To Anaheim: Cutter Gauthier, Ryan Poehling, a 2025 2nd Rd Pick (Eric Nilson C), and a 2026 4th Rd Pick
To Philadelphia: Jamie Drysdale, Trevor Zegras, and a 2025 2nd Rd Pick (Jack Murtagh LW)
Maybe this is cope, but to me if cutter never does what he did they probably finish a few spots higher & miss out on Martone and Hagens. Probably end up with Mrtka or Mcqueen who I like but don’t view anywhere near as good as Porter.
+ Probably don’t take a stab on Zegras a year later.
I look at it like
Gauthier + Poehling + McQueen
Or
Drysdale + Zegras + Martone
I frankly am thrilled with how it’s turned out for us, and I’m sure Anaheim is happy too although they do gotta be upset with how much they diminished Zegras’ value before trading him to then watch him be a huge reason why we could make the playoffs.
Butthurt grew up idolizing a little whiner, it’s no wonder he is such a little bitch boy. NEXT!
Ooohh good cope
The Ducks are not rivals.
Let it go.
We are in the middle of a playoff push and playing the most fun hockey we’ve seen in years. *STOP THINKING ABOUT YOUR EX.* enjoy the ride and stop letting cutter live rent free in your mind friend
Im not telling anybody else to move on, but I’m at peace with it at this point.
Drysdale both stayed healthy and took a step forward this year. He’s going to be a mainstay OFD in the top 4, for the next 5-6 years. Despite the small sample size, Martone looks like an absolute stud, and there is no deficiency in talent on the wings on this team. And we’re on the precipice of a fucking playoff spot for the first time in forever! Any of those weren’t true I’d probably feel differently.
One day we will stop posting about quitter
Zegras has been busting his ass in the defensive zone & has produced 11 points in his last 10 games, (16 points in 22 games since the break), since he was placed at center, & has really embraced the 2 way play in learning to play the system in all 3 zones.
If he can improve his face-offs this summer he should have the 1C job which can now focus on maybe getting a 1D, although Sanheim has 12 points in his last 22 games, (since the break), & has over 25 minutes a game.
They still have too many right wings but the 1C search should be over if he can improve his face-offs.
