    He did the exact same thing with Cole. Marty is literally the perfect coach for these young, offensively gifted players.

    It‘s crazy how you could witness his one-timer improve this much over the course of this season.
    Marty has helped so many players fine tune their shots over the past years its really remarkable. I remember seeing a video where he taught Caufield to fake the one-timer a season or two ago.

    I’m just amazed how good MSL is for player development. And to think this guy was about a Pt per game and notched 100pt season and played with some incredible goal scorers… What he can share for these guys who are WILLING to listen. Such a good group of guys we have , Suzuki isn’t that rah rah fighting guy but I think the calm leadership is a good thing we have going and the younger guys are following

    Shit like this has to be like recruitment heroin for the really hungry young guys who are coming up in the league.

    Oh, you’ve got probably the vibeist, most positive locker room in the league, AND a cup winning, MVP, HHOF player as a coach (whose thighs still put everyone else’s to shame), who’ll get on the ice on the daily to give you tailored one-on-on coaching?

    Fuck yeah.

    One of many reasons why MSL is the perfect coach for this team. There are lots of great coaches in the NHL, but not many teaching like this.

    I can’t read lips but i keep picking up « Tu comprends? » even though Demidov doesn’t speak french. That’s how awesome these two are.
