The point he makes about not knowing who has more authority/power cuz Jim has more authority over roster stuff than Allvin is most important.
Dhali said Jim already has a successor for Prezzy once he retires. Whoever that is(def someone hes worked with in the past Francis/Fitzgerald comes to mind)will they give more authority to the GM? Or will they continue on running things related to roster signings/trades/coaches etc? Cuz if its that then nothing really changes even if new GM.
If u take a look at teams who have presidents of HO, they let the GM run things roster/coach wise. If Jim is going to continue taking more power over these things from the GM then there is no point in naming a new GM cuz they wont be allowed to do what they see fit
Are any non-Vancouver media guys talking about how hot of a commodity Johnson is?
Everything I’ve seen so far seems to be coming out of Canucks mouthpieces.. Like if Johnson is truly this « next great hire », wouldn’t he be a top candidate for every single opening position? Don’t event think the Leafs have asked to talk to him which is weird if he’s that « legit ».
Idk, this just feels like Aquaman trying to pump Johnson’s tires so we feel as if we « got someone good » if we internally promote him vs doing an actual search
Any team wants someone under contract, they can pay for it. Trade a pick or prospect.
Ugh just rip the band aid off already Jim.
Ryan Johnson used to block shots with his groin. Get up and do it again, I’m not worried.
