Making Demigod better one skate at a time. This will pay dividends in years to come. Go Habs Go!

MSL is the best thing to happen to this franchise since a long time.

Whatever they are saying it was needed. Demi had his worst game in a long time last night.

Edit :last night as in the last night they played you dummies

Marty’s been getting the best out of a lot of the forwards. And you can tell the players want to learn from him too

  5. Demidov is just like a sponge out there, soaking in all the MSL knowledge

They’re making sure this kid reaches his full potential. Ugh I can hardly wait to see what Demidov is capable of in a year or 2.

  7. Let’s hope that MSL also teach the 5 core how to play PP. Last game, our PP is beyond pathetic. I’ve seen some 0/7 or 0/8 on PP, but they aren’t as bad as last game. Against Bolt, we can’t do a shit on PP, not a single threat, all zone entries looked horrible.

Martin is a very interesting character.

    Father figure, also very friendly.

You can see it reflects on the group.

  9. Notice MSL switching his stick sides (like a RH shot) and stand at the top of the left circle. Seems to be acting out Caufield’s part because he also seems to say something like « Cole loves this », then point at the other circle and say « Go », then point more to the blueline and say « Too far ».

Then he brings him to the blueline, goes back to his left side. Maybe he’s acting out Hutson’s part with the little head-fake and shows him the puck going down along the wall and points in the opposite corner where it should end up. Then he taps the ice and point at the opposite circle as if to show him what the passing lane would be from Hutson’s PoV.

Then he brings him to the other side of the zone and again points at the same circle and says something like « you’ll be on your forehand » then seems to be making a motion toward the net and says « go » again.

All put together, seems MSL is trying to teach Demidov the PoV of the other players on the PP and when to play lower in the zone.

Cole doesn’t get 50 without Marty, hopefully he does a similar thing with Demidov

  11. We have a coach that is actually coaching and not just yelling at the guys?

  12. popejohnlarue

I hope Marty spends even more time telling his line mates how to get Demidov the friggin’ puck!

People listen to champions. How many other coaches can command respect just with the resume. Skates on, my guy

  14. backwardzhatz

Demidov has been maybe his most dynamic yet these last couple games. Gonna be very interesting when he inevitably needs to be playing on the top line in a year or two. How do you break up Nick-Cole-Slaf?

  15. sillybearr

How many of the 32 NHL coaches get on the ice like this with their players?
