  1. It’s a crime that his last leafs game is going to be called by watching a screen on Wednesday

  2. It’s criminal that he hasn’t had a TV call in his final season.

  3. Win it for Joe, we need at least one more Holy Mackinaw before it’s all over.

Edit: Oops! Okay don’t win but let’s score a highlight reel goal or two?

He will be missed, but it is time for the legend to rest! All legends eventually have to move on.

I fondly remember Joe doing the play-by-play for the Global TV broadcasts when I started watching hockey. A true legend.

Can’t imagine how it must feel to give it everything you got for so long and never get to announce a championship run

  7. Joe Bowen is the 🐐
Its incredibly disappointing that he never got to make « the » call. The most important one. The one he said years ago he was waiting for.
8 years ago I thought i would get to hear it. At least once. The fact he didn’t get to make it is another (of many) stain on this franchise.
    Love you Bonesie.

Sad to see how MLSE treated him and Ralph not sending them to games this year . Makes me sick. We are losing the best ever.

Rogers could’ve done the right thing and put this man on TV for these final games.

Ralphie is a good commentator and funny too, don’t get me wrong.

But Joe and Harry Neale back in the day on TV was sooo good.

When McDonald’s advertising first aired on tv, Harry would say when two guys went flying into the boards that he was taking him for a free lunch at Mcd’s…or Harry’s sarcasm about some mascot bent over showing us “his best side”…Joe laughed so hard with Harry, we all laughed with them.

They were my favourite duo for watching hockey.

He deserves the best. He was great, while I watched mostly on a TV for those moments I did in a car or during a walk before data plans I enjoyed his calls very much. Will be missed.
