as a Ducks fan I'm a huge fan of Turc's game and hope he can recover fully. With the logjam of centers in LA I could see him being dealt to a team with more vacancies down the middle. I still believe he has all the tools to be a solid 2C but we'll see
Trade him to the ducks so he can hang with his bud Zegras
What about a trade to the Detroit Redwings. This years 1st(8) Zadia and maybe a prospect.
Montreal should go for him
Believe in him
LA should have been team to trade for Eichel ….he could have been trade chip
Lol. They can have Dach. Change of scenery. And how come Cozens never gets love?
i never understood how someone can ruined anothers career but doesnt get anything too serious in return
Tough start to a career, rooting for him!
I’ll say it straight up
Nashville Gets: Alex Turcotte
Los Angeles Gets: Tolvanen
Center for a wing swap, Tolvanen fits better in that system, gives Nashville Glass/Turcotte/Tomasino as the youth of the future
I myself recently had a long recovery from a concussion while playing hockey. Before this, I was diagnosed(like Turcotte) with chronic migraines. They were debilitating, and I and my doctors tried almost everything from CBD to massage therapy(reducing stress in the body). None of it worked. Lights, noises, even thinking hurt. It affected my grades, which are usually in the 90s. 5 years with migraines, and the only progress I've made was getting better at dealing with them, and getting back into hockey and school. The grades improved, and I became an even better goaltender. My thoughts go out to Alex and his recovery.
I hate people who throw those types of hits, I know they could never actually do this but Andreas Englund should be in jail for assault for knowingly throwing a hit that very likely alter someone's life.
Turcotte & Vilardi are going to be traded this summer.
Turcotte was always a high risk high reward player. Nobody really had Turcotte drafting where he was drafted.
I don't mind if the Kings gamble with a few picks, i'm fine with it. Lombardi used to do the same thing. The Kings will find value in other areas as they move forward.
L.A. trades Alex Turcotte a 2023 3rd round draft pick for Filip Zadina and Shai Buium.
Shai Buium is from San Diego, California he has top 4 D potential.
Only me that want a LA Vancouver trade with JT Miller for Alex Turcotte and Carl Grundström?
Oh man. Really hope he recovers after that. He's just starting his hockey career and this happens. Rough.
Every draft have 2-3 busts in the top10.. I look at that 2019 draft.. I don't see where else the bust could be other than Turcotte. I like the guy, and rooting for him .. but unfortunately, I think he is one of those bust. I would love to see the 2019 draft become one of the better drafts tho.
bust
Hitting is part of the game. Separates the boys from the men 💪
Each of their center prospects has a different calling card. I'd like to see them hang on to Turc because, even though he's been the most limited in his progress, he plays Kings hockey to a T. The guy could fit into any slot in your top 9, and play a fast, opportunistic checking style like the Danault line, which is clearly the prototype.
The other 3 are more hit or miss. Kupari has great 200 foot wheels, but hasn't shown many flashes of skill. Byfield is a unicorn, but will need a line built around his game. And Vilardi is the most skilled, but just doesn't look like he's ever going to fully buy into the skate first/think second approach of the post-Joe Thornton era.
He has another year of waver free assignment, so keeping him in the AHL another year not only benefits him, but opens an opportunity for the several prospects they do absolutely have to make a decision on whether or not they are keeping them, Villardi being among them. I could see a Chichuran trade maybe opening opportunities, depending on who is sent in such a trade, but the AHL is a safe bet for him next season.
I think they may trade him draft day but if he not gone by end of draft he staying with LA Kinga
I like the Kings because Carrlyn Bathe is super hot
everytime someone whos touted as a two way goes in the top 5, their offence doesnt come with them.
Turcotte will for sure spend 2022-2023 in the AHL Reign as he should. Kings shouldn't trade him as his trade value is at an all time low. Same is true for Vilardi. Trade pieces include Kupari, but I wouldnt trade Kaliyev yet as he seems ready to take the next step. Kings have too many young prospects so I expect 2 big trades for L wing scorer & LHD, maybe get Zadorov or Chychrn.
Byfield did not contribute much at all last season. To be quite honest I don't think you should have been called up and he's definitely not ready for the NHL.
Horrible pick, even on draft day. One of the biggest busts in the last 10 years
Trade him with a 1st next year for toews
Turcotte at this time is Damaged Goods in my opinion. Two concussions is career challenging, if not ending. If anyone would take him in ANY kind of trade should be done.
I thought Turcotte would center Rasmus Kupari and Arthur Kaliyev because they were all about the same age and would grow together.
