Wow, imagine if you played him at the correct position, gave him power play and even let him get more than 10 mins of ice t ime a night?!

Almost like he was handicapped all year by the same guy publically bad mouthing him to the media

  2. I’ve said it before, yes Michkov causes some mistakes and giveaways. He is still young, will learn and get better with time.

Yesterday he had one bad turnover at the offensive blueline that lead to a habs goals, but despite that, he directly contributed to 3 goals for (1g and 2 primary assists) and had 8 shots on goal.

The offense he creates is a HUGE net positive for the team as seen by the stats above

That no look backwards pass in OT could have been disastrous. He is clearly improving though!

What is the xGF% rel against the xGA% rel?

    Just curious.

I’m still not conning advanced stats are even real given how subjective they are, basically a vibes stat

    That said, Michkov is awesome

  6. I’m way too stupid to understand what any of this means

  7. Anyone overblowing the sophomore slump early on was bound to be proven wrong. We literally saw the same thing with Bedard last season and people still didn’t learn their lesson.

Hes obviously good. We’re we questioning that?

The coach was trying to teach him how to play smart in key situations. Michkov is learning and his leash is getting longer.

I find it hard to believe only 63 players have played 2 seasons with the team since 07-08

Imagine how good he’ll be when he improved his skating.

I think the biggest thing for me yesterday was his skating. It had gotten better down the stretch after the break and looked the best it’s looked all season last night. The beginning of the year he was skating around with anvil feet. On the Martone goal he skates up off the boards and quickly walks the blue line to get an angle and then fires a sharp wrister. He was simply not moving like that for most of the season. Perfect time to come to form.
