Talking podcast heads mentioned Rogers broadcasting has the most weight with scheduling, and would want a Canadian team in the evening (7pm) for Hockey Night in Canada. That leaves most likely Montreal, or possibly Edmonton if they fall to W2. West Coast game would certainly need to be scheduled in the 9:30 slot.
Let’s assume they want to avoid the Boston conflict, even though I think now the NHL could care less. If they really cared we’d be playing Saturday.
That means we have to almost be a lock for 4 pm.
Unless Rogers considers Buffalo part of Canada, or I’m overstating Rogers influence.

I’m guessing, since the Celtics have home court in their series, the Garden needs the series to line up so they have time to flip the surface. WGR was sure they’d offset the series a day but it seems to make the most logistical sense if they lined up

I heard the org is pissed and that they pushed hard for a Saturday game for obvious reasons. Going to be a long school day for me on Monday, think it might be time for a movie.
