  1. Tough season but I’m hoping the fellas can come back healthy have a better year in 2027. As a fan that’s all you can do. Also, Auston is a great representative of the Leafs and sounds more like the captain of the team these days. Wish him and the Buds all the best this summer and look forward to October.

    P.S.

    Keith Pelley has donkey brains.

  2. Hes reading a teleprompter. Check out his eyes. Also, drop Nylander to eliminate the morale cancer and let matthews actually captain this team.

  3. its unfortunate but mathews has been the biggest floater for the last two seasons. find him somewhere he wants to play and get us the peaces back that would take pride in and want to play for the leafs. enough of this crap!

  4. "I just focus on myself, on the team, try to be part of a solution" when asked if he should be here for the remainder of his contract. he doesnt want to be here. get him to move his NMC and get what you can from him.
when morgan got asked if he should be here, he said he WANTED to be here. and at 6:50 where he says "its an honour to wear this jersey" hes doing everything he can on one knee to keep his eyes from rolling out of his head. hes gotta go.

  5. I will be the first to say this as a leaf fan…I far from dislike austin mathews and william nylander but management has to do whats right for the crest ….They have nothing much in the farm system and little picks in years to come…The right thing to do is to ask Mathews and nylander to move on for prospects and players to do a full rebuild. { No matter i wish boh players the best and hope Leaf management does the right thing for the fans.

  6. Yeeah…he's gone. When he was asked the hard question of his future, all he had to say was a non-hesitant "Yes. I see myself here and doing everything we can to win the cup. No exception."

  7. Stop with the nonsense. Another loser speech from a loser captain refusing to take accountability, insistent on repeating the same three points in different ways – and not even very good at that.
This team is going nowhere with him wearing the C. Time to make Tanev the new captain. Let Auston play out his contract and hopefully get more for him than what we got for Marner.
    Build around Knies and Nylander.
With some Grace, we might have another foundation piece to build around after this draft.
And when Tanev is ready to give up the C, it goes to Knies.

This is the best chance we have.

  8. We can all pray Toronto wins the draft lottery. Mckenna feeding Mathew’s souls be unreal

  9. They need to play every game like the Ducks game after Mathews injury then they will win the league.

  10. Mathews is useless and has to go. Over paid clown .No back bone on getting there team to play the game. Management can't make the players play. They get paid huge money to play not just skate around like morons.

  11. The players should be the only ones to be blamed no one else. They get paid to play not the management.

  12. empty words. You either want to be here or not. The fact he's not saying an "emphatic YES" says a ton. Its out of my hands, there is a process, conversations have to be had……So NOT yes….if that's the case then pull the plug and get a decent return.

  13. First ever time he has had actual answers!!!! This is just him trying not to ruin trade value….if he was his usual self, gms would low ball him on salary when the time comes…he never has pressers like this, so self serving

  14. after no one came to his defence when he got hurt and he still believes in the guys in the room. really? I'd be out of there so fast.
