À quel point les six derniers des Wings ont été mauvais l’année dernière
Extrait du podcast Winged Wheel, mais quelque chose auquel je n’ai pas pensé quand il montre à quel point nos 6 derniers sont absolument de la merde de chien.

I’ll keep repeating it, but our bottom 6 is about to be filled with 1st round picks. It’s going to look a lot younger and faster next year.
Ideal bottom 6 would be:
Kasper – Copp – MBN
Finnie – Danielson – Mazur
The only thing left for Yzerman to do is go out and find a legitimate 2C. Thats it, nothing else, and we are cup contenders.

People saying we need more ltop end talent”. Look at the hurricanes, I think we need more middle talent. The hurricanes 4th line center put up 36 points. Ours put up 14, our 3rd line couldn’t even put up 30

Which is why theres so much discourse amongst fans. Our « GUYS » have performed and everyone besides Larkin is an Yzerman pick. But the pro scouting staff is ass. So I get both sides, but my problem is theres no discourse. Its either Yzerman is the worst GM or he’s absolutely infallible. His drafting history is excellent and theres a bizarre narrative that he hasn’t had upside picks. Seider being a top 5 defenseman, Raymond being a top end winger and Edvinsson looking like a top pairing defenseman. We can absolutely argue the Kasper and Danielson picks, but they were outside the top 5 which is always a dart at the dartboard and confirmation bias is a real bitch. Everyone has a I told you so pick, but none of us pay attention to how many misses you have every year on those picks. Canfield wasn’t a homerun. I remember people saying Owen Power would be that guy. Eiserman and countless others. Point being unless they’re top 3, you dont get those guys and we got 2 without any lottery luck. Yzerman needs to get his shit together and we better make the playoffs next year, but hes done so much good for this team too.
