Personnellement… je pense que Tolvanen et McMann doivent se résigner. Laissez Oleksiak et Schwartz marcher. Prolongez Melanson. Coups de feu tirés sur Bylsma depuis Gru

I agree. I don’t know if McMann will resign here, but hopefully every effort is made. We aren’t a very physical team, so losing Tolvy would hurt. We might lose Tolvy just because with the state of the market, another team might need him a lot more.
Hopefully, the games in Finland next year might help us retain Tolvy.

I hope McMann is interested in staying and can get re-signed.
Previous years I would have been more attached to Schwartz but not anymore. I’d be ok with him and Oleksiak walking.
elite_bleat_agent
Would be incredibly surprised if McMann signed here. It’s just not a destination. Obvs I’m glad the dude gave us some goals, but he finished strong and there’s gonna be interest in him from better markets. And I would hate it if the Kraken overpaid him and he regressed.
Tolvy, really nice to hear that he would like to stay. Even though he got snakebitten hard near the end of the season, I like him a lot and hope they can find a way.
Gru, well we love our German Gentleman, don’t we folks?
soundersfan84
Melly is a RFA he’s not going anywhere.
BucksBrew
We should absolutely make an offer to McCann, he’s great for the locker room, who knows if he wants to settle down or take a shot with another team though.
SiccSemperTyrannis
I’d be fine bringing McMann back, but Tolvanen is a guy who can walk and we won’t miss much.
Olbaidon
Gru just backing his own statement from years ago that he takes time to warm up and get going basically.
Epistrophy982
I want McMann back for 7.5m. I’m not sure I want him at 9-10m
souperman08
How likely/unlikely is it that Gru isn’t a Kraken come fall? As a very new fan he’s my favorite player and I’d be bummed if he wasn’t.

From exit interviews:
McMann: “I think the biggest thing is winning. I want to be in a spot that there’s a chance to win or at least have a competitive approach to every season… to be a team that can be in the mix and be in the conversation… being in the playoff picture and also a chance to go for it all”
He had plenty of other nice things to say about the organization, the city, the team, and the opportunity to be a contributor here. But if his top priority is to play for a winner then Seattle may be a tough sell.
What do you all think about St Louis Pick 11, Kyrou, and maybe a LHD prospect like Burns or even Ralph, for Pick 7 and Shane Wright
Misty2stepping
Not really shots from Gru. While he is excited about having more starts, as a tandem, he and Joey let in the same amount of goals this year as last year. They were good, overall. Other teams with just as good goalie tandems are still playing right now.
You know what happened between Bylsma and Lambert? We went from 16th to 24th in goals scored, and 24th to 23rd in goal against. All that ‘defensive, tough team to play against’ bullshit, only to get dogwalked by 75% of the league and hang our tendies out to dry. We went to a poverty team that might score to a poverty team that doesn’t score. If we don’t sign a 1-2, in draft or agency, all of what meager offensive talent we have is going to walk in free agency.

Resigned, or re-signed?

My takeaway from this season is we need to prioritize players who want to be here. Young, old, draft, trade, doesn’t really matter to me. We need people who see Seattle as an opportunity. I think McDelivery could be one of them, and it makes me excited and hopeful for him.
But like in the end, avoiding another Mason Marchment situation is my biggest hope for going into next season. Let the vets who just want to coast go. Keep your Montours and Dunns anchoring the team in leadership, but get them some damn support who is a bit more eager to have their back. Melanson and Catton need some peers who are going to match their enthusiasm. Freddy made some great points about playing for pride, and I think that’s something that was missing. I think gathering up an assortment of people who look at Seattle and go “the bar of expectations for this team is literally in hell, I have a shot here to be a literal franchise player” and who actually GO FOR IT is going to be key.

If McMann wants to re-sign we’d be fools not to. But I don’t know that he wants to re-sign.

I want them to resign Tolvy desperately 😢 if they do I’m running out and buying his jersey the same day lol. TBH I will still buy one anyways
BayAreaKrakHead
I think the team needs to let McMann, Oleksiak, Schwartz, and Tolvanen all walk. Bringing back Tolvanen and McMann just clogs the forward position. Neither player is putting this team in the playoffs. Yes, McMann had great production with the Kraken. However, he is a streaky player and I think his production will settle down next year. Tolvanen can be replaced.

McMann is not coming back he wants to win bye Bobby we’ll always treasure this beautiful time together.

McMann said that being on a team that was in a winning position was the most important thing to him. He’s likely not re-signing with the Kraken. This is why I have not understood why some people in this Reddit say that it is not our time to be in the playoffs and that we shouldn’t be worried about getting into them atm. Anytime we are able to make it in the playoffs whether we get knocked out in the first round or not is a good thing. Because the more times we have playoff appearances the more it looks like we can potentially get to the end. That only makes us look good in the long run which in turn incentivizes players to sign with us. The longer it takes us to get to the playoffs the less enticing we look to any major players. Most of the big names in hockey want to get a cup and money comes secondly. If we don’t look like we can give them a cup potentially they won’t sign here and we will continue to have middle sixers forever. Take Carolina for example, they have not won a cup since 2006 yet they have one of the most talented teams in the league consistently. The reason they are able to sign such talented players is because those players see potential for them to eventually get a cup.

Gru…. you were pretty much unplayable 3 out of 5 years here.

I encourage everyone to watch the exit videos when you can — there’s a lot of good insight to be gained from them

I think many of the vets need to go. They got a big check to play here but almost all are underwhelming. They had some great moments and games, but we aren’t good.
It’ll be telling to see what the FO does this summer. Cause all the little moves haven’t improved us at all

I’m fine with mcmann going. He won’t play as well as he did this season again for the length of his contract if I were to bet on it. Contract year for a fringe guy trying to get his one payday.
He was great for us but we don’t really have a reason to sign him long term in a complete rebuild. Unless you think he is going to be a stalwart of the lineup for 8 years I just don’t see it.
Tolvanen is gone and there’s no doubt about it. Sad because I love him, but he has been moved around so much during his time here, played nearly every role he can, and they still can’t make it work. I’d love to keep him long term as a vibes guy and overall contributor long term but I doubt he wants that at this point.
Significant_Chest_54
I can imagine McMann’s frustration when he did his part by scoring goals but the team failed to keep the lead. A winning team would have kept that lead
