Watched LA barely make the post season in 2012. After being embarrassed in previous years, I really wanted them to just win a playoff game in the first round. Just one. Please?
The postseason is a completely different season and we all know what happened in 2012 absolutely amazing. I never thought I would see the Kings win the Cup. Never.
In 2012 The Kings replaced their coach with Darryl Sutter (pulled him out of retirement!) and acquired Marian Gaborik, a player who was doing next-to-nothing in Columbus. Before the change, the Kings looked like they had no chance of making the playoffs. After the change, they pulled off an insane run just to make the last playoff spot, then DOMINATED the playoffs to win their first Cup.
This year, they looked like they no chance of making the playoffs before replacing their head coach, and acquired Scott Laughton, a player who was at-best average in Toronto. Now, they're on a 5-game winning streak — 7-1-2 in their last 10 — to clinch what will likely be the last playoff spot.
Does anyone else see the possibility of history repeating itself?

Postseason is different.

We got the dub
— seattle guy smashes his stick to pieces against the goal post there at the end — great example for the kids —
