Gudas, Carlson, Kreider, Trouba … these are the kinda guys you want in the playoffs. They've got players that have been there and done that. Goalies can steal series, and Dostal has displayed game stealing potential. Way more pressure and expectation for the Oilers to win than the Ducks. All that being said, i think they push them, but that leaky defense of theirs … Edmonton in 6.

Fan sentiment is Colton Dach will play night 1. Who know's what Knobby does but I like Dach. He's a true asshole on the ice and kind of insane. His PiMs might end up pretty high.
I do understand the worry about if Ingram plays poorly but I haven't been this confident in a goalie since…Roloson?

Don't underestimate the Ducks. When they are on they can compete with the best teams in the league. They swept the season series with Vegas 3-0, Montreal 2-0, Boston 2-0, split with Colorado 1-1, Dallas 1-1, Buffalo 1-1. lost to Edmonton 1-2, Carolina 0-1 and got owned by Minnesota 0-3 and Tampa Bay 0-2. Sure, I get it, the Oil are favored and do have the experience. I do worry about the inexperience of the Ducks defense but adding John Carlson was a nice addition. I think he scored 4 goals and 10 assists in 16 games with the Ducks and had his first career hat trick. He's a nice addition to their struggling power play as well. We will see if adding Joel Quenville is a factor. Don't forget Jay Woodcroft, the Oilers former head coach is Quenvilles assitant coach. That might be a factor as well as he knows the Oilers inside and out. The Ducks have nothing to lose because they aren't expected to win so they can go balls to the wall. They're young and talented. That's a dangerous combination. Anyways, just food for thought. The playoffs will be fun to watch this year. Love the game, that's what matters most.

Another fun thing to throw in on the coaching battle, former head coach Jay Woodcroft is an assistant in Anaheim now. Will that have an impact? I have no idea but it’s interesting to think about
I don't share your same opinion of this one being super close.. if you look at their recent performances it's pretty telling. Wouldn't be surprised to see Oilers in 5 (providing they can have at least solid goaltending).

Die Hard Ducks fan from Wisconsin. I'm so proud of this team regardless if we win or lose this series. These still super young Ducks are back in the playoffs. So for this season at least the mission is accomplished. I know right now it looks like Edmonton's winning this series. But I got to have faith in my guys. Underdogs have won it all before, and if any team knows how to get that Hollywood ending it's the Mighty Ducks.
