A lot of people have speculated it’s mental health related but I’m pretty confident it’s injury related. Seemed like he could never get healthy and even had to miss Olympic Games when he was on the roster. Must have been unbelievably frustrating and probably wanted second and third opinions on how he could come back.

Even if he can’t play just having him around is a boost imo. Similar to Stamkos in the bubble

Meaning if they are down in the series and their backs are against the wall, he’ll play. Otherwise he’s sitting out
