Rather than trading away assets that can greatly help in rebuilding (Trocheck, Schneider), the team should use the cap space to attract a quality forward.
This team was not the same after the Olympic break as the dreary Skating Dead before that – the enthusiasm is now there, the supporting pieces are there, the size is there and the fight is back. The goaltending is superior and the D not bad. Scoring is lacking.
Anyone brought into this organization, HAS TO BE ABKE TO SKATE!!! And the Rangers really need to look into their scouting department and all coaching. We simply cannot develop anyone home grown.

None of us realized how serious Trochek's injury at the start of the season was. Scary stuff that! Unless Rangers are drafting 1st or 2nd it looks like they will be drafting a D with their 1st pick. They could use cap space to sign Tuch if he's available. JT & Mika both need to play center & I think that playing them together at the start of the season was a mistake, but Sullivan seemed committed to it from the start. What Drury did recently with Rangers reporters shows just how much he lacks people skills. He won't do it in person, only on Zoom with no follow up Qs allowed & no screen of him to observe. Sometimes I think he has an anxiety disorder. He & Dolan are peas in a pod, both lacking interpersonal acumen & no idea how to treat people adaptively.
