He makes league min now. Sign him for a little more than new league min and we have our shootout specialist taken care of. 900k-950k, 1m absolute max. And have Keefe or whoever ends up being behind the bench get him to play less selfishly

He’s a tough one. I love his effort, but he needs to hone his vision more. He’s got skill, but he’s not able to fully realize it yet as he holds onto pucks too long.

we will miss those mitts in the shootouts lol

Paul Cotter? You mean Temu Meier?
Radjage
He needs better coaching and think he’s worth hanging on since he can probably out perform his next « cheapish’ contract. Don’t’ think we’d miss him though. In Sunny I’ll trust.

Truly an odd player. If he wasn’t so skilled 1 on 1 he’d be bounced to the AHL and never heard from again but the guy can score and is useful in getting the winning point in OT/SO. I like it though, give him a 1x$1 to take him to RFA status. Only problem is that for better or worse, basically ensures the Devils run it back in 26/27 with the same group they ended 25/26 with

I’d keep him. RFA and should be dirt cheap. He’s got the skill and toughness, just lacks IQ. Pairing him with an actual center next season should have him play like the previous season

If he remains near league minimum then yes full stop. He’s alright enough for a 4th liner, but it cannot be overstated that having a shootout specialist is actually important in the current points system.
Our best players are not great at shootouts and with how close the last few years have been for playoff qualifications every point matters.

No.
He doesn’t have the toolkit to be good in a defensive bottom 6 role and he cannot produce regularly enough in the NHL to earn more minutes.
TheRudeRune
He’s a bottom 6 forward with potential to play a middle 6 role if the situation is right. I don’t like how he uses his body. He’s a big boy with lots of speed, id like him to throw his weight around more.
The effort is there but I don’t think he has the tool set he thinks he does. This might be a coaching issue. It might be a old dog not learning new tricks issue. I’d keep him around for 1 more go and see what happens. Anything above 3mil, I’d launch him into the sun.
ghoti00
He’s got an unusually high-end set of skills and I would like to see what a better coach could make him into. You’re not going to find another guy at this price who has his hands.
He’s one of the least productive players in the league 95% of the time but the other 5% he is fully Cotter McDavid. Maybe there’s a coach out there who could change those percentages a little bit.

1 million loaded with bonuses. Make the playoffs bonus, 10 goals bonus, 20 goals bonus. Inconsistent guy with a lot of talent that could use the motivation to unlock it
thedirewolff21
He’s got 2nd line hands and an AHL brain
crazyFlyingChicken
In modern NHL times with so many games going to shootouts, we need an ace like him on the team. He’s single-handedly won us games with his deking skills. Sign him for just above league min and don’t think about it too hard
