I think the kings can definitely win this. I didn’t really like how they played, they couldn’t really generate much offense till the last period. I also dislike how they dump and chased so much, they lost that battle almost every time. They really need better o zone entry.
I like what Dj smith said.. offense needs to be mkre aggressive and check those defenseman. Gotta make Colorado feel skittish when possessing the puck

They played better than I thought they would…and their significant face-off edge (especially by Kopitar) will help them get chances. But they really needed Game 1. Colorado will be better prepared for Game 2.
Stand up for yourself ? Kempe punched Cale Makar in the back of the head away from the play, then cross checked him down and kept pushing him down. Maker is not a chippy player, he wasn't starting anything, never does. That was dirty moves by Kempe, and Landeskog standing up for Makar. You twisted that up all kinds of backwards
Moore needs to put a lot more effort into breakaway PLAYOFF SHOTS the most lackadaisical shot of the entire playoffs , Drew has to make that open net shot as well …. ITS THE PLAYOFFS THE LITTLE THINGS REALLY MATTER …. Team played a lot better than I thought they would they can beat this team…….gotta clean up the offense a bit and be a lot more aggressive offensively when they have the puck in the o zone
Kings fans, we cant have it both ways, if we want to claim that the Kings played well and this is some sign that they will be competitive? but we still lost, Its also possible the Avs didn't play there A game, yet still beat us? I think we need to prepare ourselves for some more lopsided loses, like 6-2 type. Not trying to be a Debbie downer, just preparing for reality to hit when it does.
officiating was trash
Eddie, Doughty didn't initiate the contact on the the AVS player, this was stated by the Kings radio broadcast. The AVS player ran into Doughty then couldn't control himself.

Drew was flat out beat on the first goal.
Drury caused the contact by skating into Doughty. Doughty was skating backwards like he is supposed to be defending.
An aversion to having an offensive game I don’t understand it but on the defending side this is quite a team. Build on this seems to be a theme. ✨
We stayed with them, compete? Not really , created very few scoring chances and Doughty is a disaster waiting to happen every play.. Game 1 was the game to steal..
If our boys bring their A game to every game, keep the score low, stay out of the box and god level goal keeping we may have a chance to keep it close. Avs can make this ugly real fast. It will up to our boys to fight for it. One game at a time. GKG.
Just waiting for the old, slow Kings defense to get exposed by Colorado. Holland did the team no favors by signing the D men that he did. The team has one mobile defenseman in Clarke.

I’ll never understand why Holland signed Corey Perry specifically for the playoffs…. and then trade him before the playoffs ??? We didn’t need a draft pick that bad and this was just a STUPID move to trade him.
