We were so happy that 48 got it. You could tell he was pissed about all of the prior events and wanted it bad. All the guys did. They played so good up until this point. The post also gets 2nd star of the game IMO.

Wasn’t half empty, I have a view looking the other way and towels are everywhere. Lots of us stayed after the overturned goal.

I haven’t seen one thing about a half empty arena, but i’ve seen multiple defensive posts about it.
It’s unnecessary. It’s clearly not true, and obviously tye 5 minute GWG celebration in the 1st OT is why people left.
The trolls be trollin. Don’t pay them no mind. Better to just mock them for not knowing what they’re talking about. They showed the whole GWG celebration on TV. You can just call them out for not watching.
Crowd was loud throughout both OTs, but on tv there were some rough visuals from the lower bowl.

You know what I love even more about this? From the wide shot, you can see Slavin immediately go and hug Freddy. He did that every game at the Olympics too, first one to the goalie. Just makes me happy for some reason

After seeing the goal and the celebration and hearing the announcement about said goal, they left. These are CLEARLY not hockey fans. i showed up after the first overtime trying to get in but they wouldn’t let me 😞 me and about 20 people watched the ending on the my phone and then stayed to see them put the warning flag up. still a great time
We had left our section when we thought it was over but came back – just not to our seats! Other people they couldn’t let back in
That’s going to happen at 11:30 on a weeknight. My kid stuck it out as long as possible. I suppose I should have really chewed him a new one for being a kid. Sheesh..
The empty seats were more pronounced because the broadcast angle showed quite a few of them during play.
What a ridiculous situation – the call, the lack of arena announcement, the decision to overturn a clearly good goal, not letting them back in (understandably).

I wonder how many people in the top section migrated to the lower bowl once those people vacated their seats. Personally I’d try to get ice level if I saw that many people leave and then the goal get overturned.
