The Florida Panthers missed the playoffs, it's Gary Bettman's favourite team. That's the biggest reason. I would hope people see the relation. It is obvious to most people that the on-ice officials screwed the Oilers the last two years. Never mind the Stanley Cup Final, just look at round three against Dallas Stars last year. No disciplinary action against Mason Marchment for injuring Zach Hyman. If Hyman had been there the Oilers would have beaten the Panthers. Hyman is worth 2 or 3 really good forwards. He does everything out there, sometimes more than even Connor McDavid.

I am not an Edmonton fan, my team didnât even make the playoffs. Now I donât want hockey to be over, Iâd like to see a Canadian based team win, the only ones that have a chance would be Montreal or Edmonton. I see one comment âthird times a charmâ and it is but when chasing a Stanley Cup the team needs a goaltender, something Edmonton didnât have the last 2 seasons nor do they this season. I would love to see them win but too much âleaning onâ McDavid to make the plays, no goalie. Like I said Iwould love to see them win, but they wonât. Injuries, big players play in the corners, special teams, none matter if you donât have a goalie.
