its been like 3 weeks since tre got fired. Of course you don't want to rush it but you can't take forever too. The quicker the new GM can come in and get everything in order before the draft/combine the better. They've hired a search firm, im sure the firm isn't rushing to get this done either.

There's only so many possible candidates available at any given time. Throw in the fact that Pelley's saying a rebuild isn't an option, and whoever gets the job is going the retool route, and suddenly you've significantly narrowed your list of candidates are even interested.
I don't know how the leafs fix this. The team has no heart and that to me is one of the most important attributes. Skill is ok but heart always wins out. Just look at the playoffs. Every team is grinding it out. The leafs would get hammered.
Wish Mark Hunter was back. He knows his stuff especially from the OHL and CHL upwards so in other words the true building block from which everything builds upon-the draft onwards
