Nuggets swept the Lakers.. Now the Avs gotta sweep the Kings
Kuzy needs to play and I love KOPI but we need playmakers on that top line and kempe just disappears in the playoffs , QB YOU GOTTA MAKE THE SHOTS , it’s the damn playoffs
Kings are playing "not to lose" instead of playing to win. They better hit the gas for any chance of even taking one game. Instead of the usual spotting a lead, getting the game tied, and then losing in OT. We'll see Gm3 🤷♂️
I work at Ball arena,& much props to LA for their fight. I wanted young,& inexperienced Anaheim or SJ cuz I didn't think they'd give us much of a series as they'd both try to beat us in a track meet which never works vs the AVS. But I knew LA has a veteran team that knows how to play in the playoffs & play great defense. A couple HOFers with multiple rings also- granted past their prime. And obviously Panarin is great,& has a lot of experience. Being without Fiala does hurt ya a lot.
But I will say it was BS on your PP goal how the refs let Laughton get away with a blatant cross check on Toewes right in front of the net. Not blaming Laughton but to not call that could've decided the game. But if I was an LA fan I'd be very proud of them also. But AVS were even better on the road than at home this year,& LA wasn't good. I didn't think the 1st 2 games would be 2-1 but I did say AVS in 5 hard fought, low scoring games,& I still think that's what it's looking like but we shall see. And I think your 4th line was great last night albeit they didn't score fortunately for us.
I new la would blow that 1-0 lead late. It’s their m o the last few years. If I’m Colorado, I’d be worried headed into next round,
Kings were lucky the refs didn't call the obvious cross check Laughton put on Toews on the PPG.
Hi Eddie, the best game played by the Kings this year, edge of my seat the entire time. I have so must faith. GKG!
One of the more disappointing games I’ve exp as a Kings fan. I cant even count how many beers i drank last night. On to the next.
2 games avs have played the style La wants to and have a 2 game lead… yall aren’t close lol
0 even strength goals and yall are trying to say you guys are right there 🤣🤣🤣
Luc IS Lucky as his nickname implies. He’s lucky he wasn’t fired years ago.
The missed cross check by Laughton on Toews when the King’s scored was pretty egregious.
Joseph over Ward makes absolutely no sense. need points.
We'll lose if we dont ever play. kuzmenko
1. It’s asinine Joseph, Malott and Wright are playing in favor of KUZMENKO !!!!
2. It’s stupid Joseph is playing instead of Turcotte and Ward !!!!
3. Clarke needs MORE minutes and needs to be on 1st PP not 2nd !!!!
Kopitar needs to wake up and lead by contributing !!! He didn’t have the greatest regular season and we really need him to step it up before walking away in the sunset ! Go out like the winner we know you can be.
The fans breaking the glass should draw a delay of game penalty, period.
feels like they don't count hits correctly, hell helenius was throwing big hits all game
Love the effort and that they’re fighting. But we’re done. We have no offense nor are we really creating dangerous opportunities.
Kings were gassed at the end. Maybe sea level helps them keep their legs. Won't much matter though -> Avs gonna score on a couple of pp and some of those post hitss are going to go in.
Kings just need to get some pucks on met. Get a damn greasy one. Kuzmenko needs to play. We need goals. Defense is doing their job, Forsberg is getting it done. We need some effing goals. Byfield had the goalie beat, he just didn't elevate the puck enough. The Kings can beat the Avs.
And YET AGAIN Codi Ceci makes a terrible play that probably cost the Kings the win. Worst signing this year by far. Over and over he makes terrible plays and they have hurt the Kings so many times this year. 4 plays to make after the Kings win the draw. 3 of them are good, 1 is bad. Guess which one Ceci does? Unreal. He gets the puck behind the goal line to Forsbergs right. 4 plays to make. 1. he just holds or stalls the puck near the end boards killing the clock a bit and getting some support. (not the best option). 2. Wire the puck up the same boards he did, but HARD and not with his purse in his hand. As they said on the broadcast, make that defensemen at the blue line eat it if he stops it. 3. Wire it hard around the other side where there we ZERO Colorado players(puck gets out). 4. A weak strength clearing up the boards like he did and its kept in, BANG, tying goal. 4 choices with only 1 bad one and he, like he has done many times this year, makes the worst play. Just a bad, low hockey IQ play and like those plays often do in the playoffs, they cost teams games. Just like Byfields low IQ play last year trying to carry the puck out at the end of the game. Those dumb plays will almost always hurt you when it matters most. Ive never seen a team beat themselves more than the Kings do. Brutal decisions last year by Hiller. Dumb play by Ceci last night and the Kings not shooting enough on the PP where thats their best chances to bury Colorado. I have been a huge Kings fan since the 80s but the dumb plays and beating themselves is starting to kill me here. Unreal. Just in the last 2 years alone, the amount of playoff wins the KIngs have given away is mind boggling. They just keep doing it over and over. ARGH!!!!!
Kudos to the kings for a decent fight in game 2.
I still think the kings lacked physical play.
yes there were hits, but I saw way more opportunities and kings put up a soft non check play.
Also, they need more puck movement in the offensive zone….work the defense more into the play.
