  1. the reason this team keeps wiping out coaches/rosters & failing is because they're trying to build on a weak foundation.  Larkin is not a leader or captain material at all.  Trade that clown and start a proper rebuild

  2. trade Larkin for either Frondell or 2026 Chicago 1st. Frondell, Stenberg and Mckenna are all better the Larkin. However Chicago could use Larkin right now.

  3. Steve says they need better players? The Wings have the second most free cap space, get Brady Tkachuk, Jason Robertson and someone like Alex Tuch. You have people like Compher, Copp, Rasmussen and Chiarot that have really done nothing. Yzerman needs to be gone as well.

  4. Here we go again with the Larkin haters that are so clueless, yall do realize that our core 4 is the best players and leaders on the team Larkin ,debrincat,Raymond and seider.why we keep losing is cause the depth never steps up guys like Compher copp and Rasmussen and Appleton,Kane had a good season stepped up after the Olympics, van riemsdyk slowed down after the Olympics so it’s not a one man job people since you keep blaming Larkin

  5. Yzerman has turned into a weak leader with weak players. They would be destroyed by real playoff teams. What the hell happened to him.

  6. Why would you trade an unprotected 1st for Faulk and a 3rd for Perron if you thought the team was overachieving? 20:30

  7. No mention of their league-worst pro scouting department. That means they’ll keep overpaying retired bums to coast all year and golf in the summer.

  8. The question i want answered is: there are a ton of teams that leap frogged the wings and making the jump into the playoffs. Their strategy has ranged from: inserting prospects “too early”, or signing underachieving nhl players from other teams, or making a splash fa signing/ blockbuster trade, or offer sheeting players. Detroit is steadfast on longterm development of prospects and signing “proven and solid” nhl players. Is this an outdated strategy? Because so far we have underperforming veterans with unmoveable contracts which ate ultimately filling out the roster with three third lines which is blocking prospects from coming up.

  9. Yeah idk. It's kind of confusing and contradictory to say the team was an overachiever but also trade an unprotected first and a prospect? I don't have buyers remorse. The wings are better with faulk than without. That being said this kind of trade is what the fans wanted. Adding at the deadline to bolster the roster. obviously hindsight. But at the time of the trade were any of the fans who wanted the wings to add upset? Because if you were upset then you should probably stop speaking out of both side of your mouth.

  10. Kasper, Ras, Danielson, pellika, Nyguard etc etc!!!! These are first rounders that can’t make the NHL! Look at their post first round picks…..no NHL’ers there! Finnie is the only “surprise”! He only looks good because the rest of the bottom six are abysmal!
Not drafting well, not assessing bottom six talent (Compher! Appleton, Motte, Jvr et al) equals a non playoff team! We can only pray that Cossa is the next coming of Dominik Hasek!!!!!! Mo and DeBrincat are studs and then the talent is mediocre at best!
Come on Steve! Your ability to gauge nhl talent is………horrible and now it’s time to give it up!!!

  11. A GM should never be saying that we're building toward being a playoff team, that is very disappointing. The Wings need to be building a team that will compete for a Cup in the finals, not just to be an also ran that fought tooth and nail to get a wild card spot. That's completely unacceptable to hear Yzerman say that

  12. The outro music lyrics "I'm just a fool" with a picture of Steve looking like a deer in headlights, someone on the media team has an opinion.😂😂
