No he’s not being out coached because you have to coach in order to be out coached. All I saw was him standing behind the bench smirking occasionally. Does Mcdavid control his own ice time? Has knob ever tapped him on the shoulder and say hey sit down for a bit, we have other guys going? I don’t think he has. What is truly baffling is how we’ve gone from the last 3-4 weeks of the season, rolling all the lines, sticking to the same lines, then we get to the playoffs and it’s all thrown into a blender.
Great to see the TOI. It’s boggling that Mcdavid and Drai would be played that long when Drai is fresh back from being off on Injury, and mcdavid literally twisted his ankle and was injured and not playing his best. Recipe for a disaster!!! I was so worried knobs was gonna revert back to his old ways when Leon was back 😡 grrrrr

I’m gonna be honest I don’t think knob is getting out coached. it’s the players getting out worked. if the heart isn’t in it they won’t be able to succeed. The ducks have all the energy. The Oilers don’t (for now). Just my opinion.
Traditionally I've been pretty supportive of Knoblauch but there's no question that we are being vastly outcoached in this series. There is at least some case to be made that firing Knoblauch right now while there's still enough games left to save the series and still win it is preferable to firing him only after we've gotten eliminated.
The tipping point that moved the needle from questioning the coach to potentially firing him is that I'm disgruntled and disappointed that Samanski isn't playing with Dach and Frederic. Their ice times are much too low and we're not utilizing guys to their strengths. That line should be together and we should see at least 12 minutes of ice time.
Austin everytime you go to a game, the oilers lose…you are now banished from going outside! 😂

Dude, oilers were trailing most of the game. Ofc Kris would have his top players play more shifts to get Edm back in the game.
We just don't have it this year. At this point, we would be better off to rest the guys and focus on what we need to do for next year to go on a tear like Colorado did.

missing player list ; yanmar, rico, dickenson, hyman, drai for to long, without playing together to form cohesive tightness
and biggest factor is Pickard needs to be in net period
woodcroft knows ALL OF OUR TACTICS , so new unpredictable plays need to be created
2 goals against tho, not recognized was with Bouchard out of position on opposite side of the net leaving opening
After watching this vid, the oil have TONS of problems. Defense, Goaltending, the coaching, special teams, all the line changes and switch ups. Basically the only good thing is 5v5 offense. Yall gotta figure it out or oil will be hung out to dry over the summer with no cup and no series wins.

Oilers have to change up their zone entries. The Ducks are stopping them pretty consistently at the blue line.
I know Austin isn't surprised by this but if any oiler fan is surprised by this shake your head Quenneville is an actual nhl head coach who not only won cups in chicago…… but he also played in the nhl and actually knows how to coach an nhl team….. knoblauch not only did he never play in the nhl but before this coaching job he was only ever a AHL coach at the highest in his head coaching career before coming to edmonton and from what I've heard he was only ever considered for an NHL head coaching job for a couple years before joining the organization and even when he coached in Hartford he his coaching record in the AHL wasn't great…. the oilers needed to bring back coffey to help our defense because knoblauch the supposed defensive minded coach our defense looked terrible and coffey turned it around.
Seeing all stats and how tumultuous this season was shows knoblauch should've never been hired as head coach for the oilers and that maurice and quenneville outcoaching him doesn't surprise me

Ian Moore is traditionally a defenseman but he’s played as a forward for nearly the entire season for Anaheim for his stick work and forechecking.
Whatever you do, don't let Jason Gregor know you feel this way. He's out there vociferously defending Knobs' coaching with all the energy he has.
But you're totally right about the ice time usage – ESPECIALLY when McD et al are not playing very well, and we've seen such great things from that Dach-Samanski-Frederic combo.
I think knoblauch is the only coach in the world who doesn't give out icetime based on who is playing well and deserves it – but rather who he WISHES would play well.

The Oilers should just hire me to be coach TBH. I can randomly blend the lines throughout the whole game while standing there expressionless the entire time.. they can even pay me half of what they give Knobber.

He doesn’t know what to do without Henrique and Dickinson. Centre position need regrouping. Need more from Nuge (no shots). McDavid will bounce back. Drai and Hyman will find their groove and lead the team while Anahiem continues to put 3 men on Davo. Oilers will have a strong defensive minded game 3. My only concern is the power play. We must score.
Seit der Serie gegen die Jets, habe ich die Oilers in den Playoffs, nicht mehr so schwach gesehen. Die ganze Saison war eine Enttäuschung und daher kommt das eigentlich nicht überraschend. Die Ducks sind bisher das bessere Team, Nurse, Bouchard und Nuge sind eine absolute Katastrophe. Zeit im Sommer sich von diesen Leuten zu trennen. Die Stars und auch Colorado, würden die Oilers in vier Spielen vernichten. Der Kader ist ohne Perry, Kane, Kulak, Brown und Arvidsson eine Klasse schlechter geworden. Ingram ist nicht besser als Stu, Pickard sollte in Spiel 3 starten, vielleicht hilft das die Motivation zu steigern und besser in der Defensive zu arbeiten. McDavid hat wohl schon aufgegeben, denke im Sommer verlangt er einen Trade.
Not too stressed. This group has responded when it matters all year. Connor McDavid doesn’t stay quiet for long, and Leon Draisaitl finding his touch again changes everything pretty quickly.

It’s obvious Mc David is playing but not loose and confident. He is worried about the possibility of serious injury if he keeps playing. I know the players know their bodies , but playoff pride is like a narcotic.
