If you are confused why the Oilers fan did something stupid it's important to remember Edmonton is in Alberta.
It's disgusting how biased the refs were in the third towards the oilers, they should all be investigated to see how many of them had money on the oilers!!!
They need to bring back those jerseys. The orange was cool and all— for a while. But they need to go back to the original purple & aqua color-scheme, and actually refer themselves as the Mighty Ducks again, many still do.. I loved that uniform; prime Teemu Selanne & Kariya, that team was a threat back then too.. I always loved the Mighty Ducks, those stupid movies are what first got me into lovin hockey as a little kid, I was born in ‘92 right after the first one came out.. That jersey is just nostalgic. Way better than these all orange ones. There is enough teams with orange in the league. None with purple anymore, except when the Kings wear their older black/purple Alt home which is rare. Because they have the newer all-black Alt home with the gray crown & numbers (which is probably my favorite jersey in the entire league) that they wear even more than their default homes now.. The Ducks need to wear the purple & aqua more than once a year.. Do like the Sabres do; they’re basically blue, yellow, black, & red altogether now is their colors. They wear their old black/red/silver Alt homes all the time.. You can use both; purple/aqua one week, orange the next.
Despite allowing 4 goals, I feel the Ducks played a much better Game 2 defensively. Which is weird, because they still weren’t very good defensively, but they got sticks in lanes a lot better in this game compared to game 1. We’ll see if the the high-octane offense can carry through coming back to Anaheim

go ducks go. and anyone that starts with the bang wagon complaints get over it. happy other teams that haven't won a re getting some wins. this is the balance everyone wanted right? and to think, if they could have held the lead in game 1, this could be a 2-0 ducks lead.
I've given up all hope of a Canadian team ever winning a Stanley Cup again. Canadian teams are literally the jobbers of the NHL. So, go Ducks, I guess.
Dear Edmonton,
Playing like you are scared isn't how you win.
Letting 1 guy dance around the O-Zone, then getting double teamed without back-up is also not how you win.
Watching players like Kapanen or McDavid just get swarmed while the rest of the team is just hiding, really makes stop and think "Don't they know they are losing?"
Lesson learned. Don't underestimate these ducks
That 4th goal by Edmonton, kilhorn was hooked. Then no goalie interference call. NHL protecting their # 1 star.
Typical Edmonton, going to play lazy for a couple games then try to storm back. Not a good game plan…FAFO may cost them a first round exit.
As a Kings fan and fan of California hockey I’m very impressed the Ducks got the split in Edmonton

Any Ducks fan who has watched the team this season know that how the media portrays them is wrong/misinformed. They do have a lot of young players, true, but they also have a lot of veterans. Moreover, these young players produced in the regular season and didn't look out of place in the big league (with the exception of Sennecke making some bonehead choices here and there, but he also scored 23 goals and had 60 points so his offensive upside is worth the mistakes sometimes). The only young player who didn't quite meet expectations was McTavish.
I had this series as a toss-up, I think it really could go either way. Anyone who guaranteed in-advance that this series was going to be a walk in the park for the Oilers obviously watched way more Oilers games than Ducks games this past season.
With all that said, and I am sure most other Ducks fans feel the same way: making the playoffs and even winning one game feels like a MASSIVE success for this team. Anything the Ducks do here in the playoffs is just extra gravy, and I am totally fine with that and will enjoy this ride to the max as long as it lasts.
Very close to trying up game 1 and taking game 2, I’m thrilled watching Ducks playoffs again!!! Let’s go Ducks!!

As an oilers fan I really thought they’d come back when on that power play but damn I never thought I’d see McDavid with that brutal turnover he never does that he’ll bounce back in the series.

I don't know why people were saying Anaheim was a good matchup for Edmonton. I thought this was a bad matchup for Edmonton..I have Oilers winning in 7 but Anaheim can keep up to Edmonton in the goals department.. Something the Kings could never do when they faced Edmonton in the first round. I'd be surprised if it doesnt go 7 games.

huge win for this young Ducks team too. They needed to know they could get it done with no one giving them a chance at all. I'm unsure about a series win, but with McDavid a little hurt and some momentum, I wouldn't be shocked for them to win next game. We'll see where we're at come next week. Quack Quack Quack!
