Fourth generation Habs fan here!
I’m at about a 12 hour drive east of Montreal. I’ve seen Montreal Canadiens flags on flagpoles in front of homes and hung up in windows. There’s a guy on a bike with a giant flag riding up and down the town. People talked about it at work, at the coffee shop, at the gas station. My inlaws lit up funeral lantern of pass family members who were life long fans. Hell, even my old grumpy neighbor who doesn’t speak much to anyone spoke to me about how excited he is for the game yesterday. It’s a fucking religion out here.
Its not just the city of Montreal, the whole East Coast is electrified, from Montreal to Halifax.
Bring it home, boys. It’s been long enough.

I remember a few seasons ago when Josh Anderson was struggling stats wise but never cheating on effort and we gave him standing ovation. It really struck a chord and I think it’s only gotten better from him.
The fans can have that type of impact on the team.
