Fairweather Oiler fan here. Clearer and clearer to me, the writing is on the wall now. The Oilers are not good enough. Time to face the music as an Oiler fan. They've peaked. They look old and slow in comparison to the Ducks, who are outplaying them. I think the Ducks are going to take it in 5 or 6. Take it as a gift because having to sit through an eventual total loss again in the next series or the next is just a frustrating waste of time. Everyone – find something else to do – spare yourself the mental anguish. Face reality – the dream is over.

Oilers already gave up when they were down 2 goals, you can tell by the lack of celebration by McDavid when he made it 5-4 he totally had no enthusiasm even though there was 11 and a half minutes left to play plenty of time to play especially when you're only down 1 goal. But yeah you can tell the Oilers had already gave up by then.
So it looks like it's been decided by a higher power that it's someone else's turn to go to the final.

They should trade Bouchard. He’s not a #1 and they could get some nice pieces for him. With McDavid and Draisaitl, you don’t need a top notch quarterback; a decent-to-good would do.
That won't be enough for the Oilers to make it to the next round. And perhaps Bouchard should be played in the offense line. He can play offensively, but he constantly makes mistakes defensively.
