People act like this hasn't been a consistent issue for years. With the further implementation of video review, more reviewable calls, and the way reviews are conducted to overturn calls, not confirm them, we run into this mess all the time. People arguing about drawing circles and lines with their eyes or on their screens are ignoring the reality of how reviews are conducted. No official ever signaled goal during play, after the huddle they should have announced the call on the ice was no goal and that the play was under video review. Toronto is then able to determine if there is conclusive evidence to overturn that call. By making the call on the ice a good goal, it requires conclusive evidence to overturn that call, not to confirm it. It goes from a very high chance to be found in Edmontons favor to a 100% chance to be found in Anaheims favor. This is not about logical conclusions, or lines and circles, it is about white paint between the puck and the red paint which cannot be seen, therefore it should be found inconclusive in either case. If Toronto wanted to make the call conclusive that it was a goal, that would require the call on the ice to be no goal.
Oilers don't want it………again.

At this point I wouldn't mind a first round exit for Edmonton if that would lead to bigger change in team building and mindset. When Connor and Leon just look like good but regular players, Edmonton has no foundation to build on.

This is an interesting case. You can tell based on the part of puck we see that it is indeed fully in the net, cause all you have to do is complete the circle and see that it doesnt reach the goal line. But the call on the ice was no goal, and I believe the rules say that in order to overturn the call, you have to be able to see white between the puck and the goal line. Or maybe it just says there needs to be evidence that it completely crossed the line, and the "you need to see white" is just something commentators add. But either way, interesting to see this happen

Long time Oilers fan , when they didn't pick up Babrovsky or Biddington when they were available this year it was clear Oilers management was the problem . Coaching has been a problem since the 24 playoffs , Knoblaugh is way over his skis .
Oilers have a bad system, manage ment and coaching and some great players.
Sadly that does not work. I have watched 1 game since the trade deadline.
