Do NOT keep Keefe! He ran a horribly unfitting system for nearly 2 entire seasons.
The Day before Olympic break he was finally askes about his system being the cause of NJ's failure & responded, I don't think for a second there is a system issue.
-FF just 2 weeks later & all od his players are performing much better away from his system. Media is calling for his job – THEN he changes the system. Basically forced all while the post Olympic system was polar opposite of his system in ALL 3 Zones. Come on, to defend a failing system, not be the one who truly saw how bad it didn't bring out the best for his team & basically prove how mismatched it was by doing opposite of everything & the opposite is 10x better.
Last he waa horrible in deploying the startint goalies. Didn't lean on Allen when he was very hot & Markstrom was butt.
Really happy about this hire.
Go Devils! Happy a native Jerseyan has the job, it’s a franchise that has had success in the past, but less prestige. So having someone that reveres the team more than other candidates feels nice.
