Ottawa should lose their pick again for that massive egg they laid against the Canes
Didn’t know this until this very moment. As a guy who was rooting for a 16-20th VGK pick this sucks ass. Ducks also lost 8 of their last 10 games to get us here too.
Look on the bright side, we got Gridin at 28th just a couple drafts ago.
Realistically, the quality and NHL certainty between high teens picks and mid twenties picks is really slim.
So at best the pick will be 24, since Ottawa is automatically given pick 32
Need to pick a ruck with the late pick and the other one with the early 2nd rounder
If the Ducks get the job done against Edmonton I’ll consider it a worthwhile sacrifice to make that matchup happen

The difference in this draft between 16-24 this year is not huge and will more so come down to the mettle of a team’s scouting/GM team. We have made excellent picks in that range before and I expect the same quality selections this year.
We can still pick up Liam Ruck with that pick.
