Frustrating watching this thing slowly slipping away. The boys had full control of this series and then just decided to not show up in Gm. 4. Although they've played much stronger since then, especially in Pittsburgh last night during game 5, they couldn't overcome another goofy goal bouncing off the boards and Vlad's skate into the net and HORRIBLE referee work. The Flyers need to get an early lead, get some heavy forechecking and goalie pressure early and take an early lead and keep it. It seems when the Pens have an early lead, we just can't crawl back due to the previously mentioned mitigating circumstances. Let's go boys, score early and hit em hard with that old school Broad St. Bullies mentality. PHLY.
Both teams were sloppy. Philadelphia was just more sloppy and they paid for it.

Pens fan here. The flyers started doing the nasty crap the pens did early on. Its maddening, no?
Their performance is just baffling. Before, the Penguins were desperate and played aggressively to win. Now, they're playing like the more skilled team! Even if the Flyers win Game 6 or even Game 7 (hopefully it doesn't get that far), they're losing the confidence that fans had for them during their 3-game win streak. Against a team like Carolina, you're going to need to be at your best! I know I'm expecting a lot out of them considering that they're a young team. But they were playing like a skilled team for their first three games of the playoffs!
More dismayed, nervous and angry Flyers fans please.
