That Kessel-Galchenyuk trade was bad for everyone and I think certain people knew this from the get-go. Idc what some of my fellow Pens fans say, I still believe that had JR waited just a little longer, Kessel would have either agreed to the Minnesota trade or a better offer would have come up either from Arizona or elsewhere. As for Arizona, Kessel is an enigma.
Is Phil the Thrill really a star? Or is he ONLY as GOOD as his center man is?
It feels like Winnipeg never ended, i'm beginning to think this while franchise is cursed.

God this team is screwed. Get Tocchet the hell out. Don’t give me any of this Coach of the year crap, nobody cares about your good defense IF YOU STILL CANT OUTSCORE THE OTHER TEAM. Tocchet is a poor man’s Trotz/Tortorella. Keller and Schmaltz have their production drop off a cliff, seems like it’s just the players? Well let’s take Kessel and make him defensive minded…oh look he doesn’t score at all now. Scoring problems have plagued this team’s rebuild for the past 2 and 1/2 years, time to move on from Tocchet

One prospect that honestly probably should get more attention for Arizona is Lane Pederson. He really broke out last year and I think he could really have a big impact on the team a la Conor Garland

What I want to see is Stepan and Grabner gone. That is 10 million in cap space for 2 guys who have maybe 30 points combined this year?
The Dvorak contract isnt really bad. I say let hall walk and float Stepan, Raanta and Goligoski for a proper sniper. I've done a few armchair teams that allows them to get better without a CBO

To free up some spending money and attempt to find an actual star, they should move hall, raanta and kessel. Soderberg needs to be retained. He was a nice acquisition for a much better deal

I like how the only issue to keeping Hall is how to afford him, and not the real issue of him wanting to stay.

Kessel is kind of a mistake but the biggest mistake is trading for Hall. He is phenomenal and love to have him but we arent going to afford to resign him anyways. He is going to be the 1 free agent so we have to pay him more than 31 teams. We will essentially handicap the team. Hall doesnt necessarily provide much to the win share.
