Time for the NHL to start protecting it's top players. That was everything wrong. Blindsided him, aimed for the head, and jumped into it. The hitter is obligated to minimize contact to the head. Don't get me wrong, I've cheered for whoever the Habs play since the '70s and I hope this is the beginning of the end!

NHL has the audacity to show this?? This games refereeing was an embarrassment. Why don’t you show the hit on Kicherov or the “high stick” penalty? The Slafkovsky hit was airbound and hit to the head and should have been a penalty. NHL= EMBARRASSING
i get that he got his head down but this is predatory hit that could end career…. just like it did with so many of them like Kariya or Savard.

Best part is how Tampa avoided the hit on the same play in all 3 game. They let mtl do it from game one. They established false confidence. Tampa waited for the perfect time in the series to pull the pin. They knew a hit like this would swing momentum and could very well win them the series. This is excellent coaching and player development. ❤

keby Slavkovsky mu to vedel oplacat,verim,ze by dostal vacsi trest ako ten somar.

The problem with the NHL is that if this is the same hit but Xhekaj on Kucherov, Xhekaj is out with a 5min major.
You clearly see that the head was first contact. Nice one NHL way to promote player safety 👎
