@Canucks de Vancouver

    Meanwhile Dylan Guenther is ppg in the playoffs for Utah, registered hardest shot so far, 3 goals, 23 years old, Canadian kid. I mention that for no reason. Jim Benning you fucking genius! Let’s get another GM just like him.

    I think most reasonable fans knew we were in a bad spot heading into the rebuild. It’s just gonna take time.

    22? thought we’d be closer to 28.

    The Flames are not only ahead of us but also have more picks than us. It took them a while to commit to sucking but man their future is bright. Hope Aqualini can stick to his word and keep the rebuild for as long as it needs to go.

    I wonder how much that changes after this draft?

    Obviously one draft wont be anywhere near enough, but its a good year to have a few draft picks

    22 feels about right, pipeline’s thin but not empty. just need to actually commit to the rebuild and let it breathe this time.

    Nazar Privalov or Sergei Skvortsov next draft class are gonna be generational. Add Dupont and Alexis Joseph. Give me Skvortsov then Privalov….

    It’s a long road ahead. 22nd, 15th or 32nd. We need more young talent, and way more than a drafts worth.

    This is why I keep saying this rebuild is going to take a very long time and that’s fine. Do it the right way. A guy like cootes who is our top prospect profiles as a likely 2/3C. This shows how much works needs to be done. This organization needs 3-4 high end difference makers at different positions. I know Canucks fans get hard over buium and willander but those guys are not going to be elite difference makers, good pieces sure.

    The Canucks love trading away their draft picks, especially 1sts, and this is what we get.

    We could have also had a 20 year old Matvei Gridin who has 20 points in 37 nhl games but instead we have the memory of Lindholm playing for us for half a season. We could have also had 12th overall Jack Nesbitt a solid 200foot projected middle Six centre but instead we have M Pettersson.

    You’d think the Canucks would eventually learn from hindsight and realize they will end up regretting trading away 1sts before they actually do it.
