   That was the playoffs when I became a Flames fan. I hadn’t really followed hockey much before that, but that series was so intense everyone at my junior high « had » to choose a side. There were definitely more Edmonton fans and kids jumping on the Edmonton bandwagon, but I didn’t want to go with the flow. Plus, my grandparents lived in Calgary and I was much more familiar with Cowtown than with Edmonton. The rest is 40 years of history, highlighted by the cup win in 1989 and what should have been a cup win in 2004 (it was in). I’ve never regretted or second guessed my choice of team all those years ago!
